Have you tried eating/dining out in a very expensive restaurant/cafe?  

Hi there. Being an ordinary office worker, it's only seldom that I get to eat at expensive restaurants and the only times that I could eat at high-end restaurants - i.e. those really posh places where even mineral water seems to cost more than a regular meal (of course, I'm exaggerating but you get the point) - is when our bosses treat us out to dinner. I haven't tried any fine-dining restaurants, though, and I doubt if I'd ever want to go through the horror of wondering just what exactly I'm eating or which fork to use to eat the fourth course of whatever.

I'm more of a fast food person myself, though I sometimes enjoy splurging on slightly expensive Japanese and Chinese restaurants. I enjoy the experience of eating and would rather eat cheeseburger and fries and be comfortable while doing so than to eat whatever expensive dish and feel out-of-place doing so the entire time.

Restaurants in hotels are rather expensive and I have gone to some of these hotels and dined there because there are no available eatery nearby.
I have tried fine dining too but it was a treat from the boss when we did a good job.

Expensive, you mean in hotels? No we have not tried eating out on those fancy resto, we can't afford it and even if I can. I don't think it is very practical but I am dreaming of eating in this small steak house which a meal would cost 2k in our currency, quite pricey for a piece of steak, but they say it is very good.

I have eaten in these restaurants because of work-related stuff. Since I started working whenever we have guests for a training, we would dine with them in fine dining. Or whenever, we're conducting training, we would be booked in hotels, and our bookings usually involve a meal package in the hotel's resto.

I don't dine in fancy restaurants using my money, but when I feel like celebrating, I usually treat myself out into these restos. Sometimes, they just tend to look fancy, but they seem to be affordable.

I am very fortunate to have a job that requires me to dine in at expensive hotel restaurants in the metro with our clients. I was able dine in at 4 and 5 star hotel restaurants here in manila as well as those fine dining restaurants without having to shell out my own money since it is usually company sponsored. I even had a training on social graces involving how to's when it comes to fine dining.
