How old was your baby when you started feeding him/her on a high chair?  |

 My children were 4 1/2 months old. I'm thinking of buying my friend a high chair for her baby. Some parents here never use a high chair during feeding time. So when the child is able to walk, parents always have to run behind the child to coax him/her into eating. I don't want my friend to do the same thing. I believe that children should be taught to sit at the table during meal time instead of running around having their parents chase after them to feed them. So did you use a high chair for your baby during feeding time? How old was your child when you began using one?

1.  lkoenig07 (282) | 1 year ago |  I always used one of those Bumbo chairs (these are my first kids). It was just so much easier than lugging the high chair upstairs, and they fit into the chair better. But I used one the other night at my mother-in-laws & I also use a booster seat here.

| 3. lilybug (15310) | 1 year ago |  My kids were both in high chairs when they first started to eat baby food, so around 4 months. I could not deal with chasing a child around to try to feed them on a daily basis. It would drive me nuts. I do have to deal with this when I am visiting family since they do not have a high chair.
