Which foreign language do you want to study aside from English? |
|
I remember when I was younger, I used to tell myself that after I master English (which I haven't up til now ), I would study French. For the simple reason that I find it sophisticated. But I have given up on that since I don't think I'll ever use it in any practical way.
Now, I am learning Korean language since I had to deal with a lot of Koreans here in my country. So far, I guess, I am doing well. I read and write Korean characters well. Though learning its grammar part seems to be the hardest for me. There aren't many available materials online. And I am still struggling to make perfect Korean sentences.
How about you guys, do you still want to learn other foreign languages?

41. frozenthrone (239) | 1 year ago | I've always wanted to learn different languages. I'm slowly learning Korean through the net. I know a few spanish by reading the book I bought with spanish words and translation. I also want to learn Japanese since I'm crazy over their manga or anime. But the language that's on top of my list is French. I've always wanted to learn that language because it's good to hear even if I don't understand.
Happy Posting!

42. tulipstrader (905) | 1 year ago | i tried my hand at learning french. this was about 25yrs back. somehow it did not progress much. i did purchase a couple of books, later gave it to another who was interested in it.
its good to learn foreign languages as the world is becoming more integrated and will help us understanding one another. i think now i have lots of time at hand to try and revive my interest in learning languages. may be soon i will chose one.

44. sugarplum9084 (1495) | 1 year ago | Well at the moment I am learning two foreign languages, so I am focusing my attention on them until they are perfect, then I can look into more. I have been learning Spanish for almost four years now so it is getting really good, I will continue to study it extensively in college as well. I am also learning Swedish because my boyfriend lives in Sweden so I will be able to use it when I go there, though all swedes speak English really well. I will use both of these languages in December since I will visit my boyfriend in Sweden for a month, and out of that month we will go to Barcelona, Spain, for a few days, so I am very excited to apply these languages to real situations, not just online through text. Happy mylotting and have a great day or night, I wish you the best of luck with learning your languages.

| 48. Millie872 (42) | 1 year ago | I want to learn Welsh - I was born and bred in Wales, and have have recently moved back to the country. Unfortunatly, when I was growing up welsh was a dying language and natives were not encouraged to speak it. Now, though, there has been a revival in the language, and I feel ashamed that I have not learnt to speak it. I have just bought soem 'learn Welsh CDs' off the net, so I'll be spending every day driving to and from work talking to myself! (no change therre, then!)

49. TenmaMetsuki (288) | 1 year ago | English is actually my second language, my first is Arabic.. I've pretty much mastered English though, so now I've started learning Japanese, my most favourite language in the world! It's a lot simpler and easier than you may think!
I'm not sure of what to go with for a fourth, though:\ I'm around 10% done from japanese, and will be around 50% by the end of the year, I suppose.. any suggestions? o.o

50. vidasandi (1467) | 1 year ago | for me it has to be spanish. but first i need to master english, i find a lot of flaws in my writting, and speach. But given a choise, i would opt for spanish, because i would be able to communicate with my clients in their language and also avoid the inconvinance of having a translator do the job.
