| sheenarobins (237) | 1 year ago | Well, I think this is very subjective but I just started to do what I want and stop caring about what other people would say. I accepted Christ and it was a huge difference knowing that your Creator loved you and He knows you personally. He designed you afterall and your presence has significant. I don't mind making a mistake because I am 100% human. I started being independent and thus gained self respect. I refused to be bullied by anyone. I speak my mind and know that life is a classroom and I should learn from my mistake. Even mistakes are designed for us to grow. | |

| mibngold (1525) | 1 year ago | That is a whole other story, I was not brought up with any kind of religion, my parents divorced when I was about 5 and my mother was in some kind of weird cult that she tried to get me involved in...I wanted nothing to do with it, what a bunch of freaks. I have a hard time with the whole religion thing because I just am uninformed. I don't even know how to begin to pray! My boyfriend & his family are all Italian Catholics, so, that kind of puts me in an awkward position. It isn't that I don't believe in a higher power, I just am not well informed! I was taught (by my family) not to like myself..and therefore, I find fault in myself in every aspect of my life! Though, I do think I have an awesome sense of humor...That is one thing that I do like about myself! | |

And it is also great that you feel that way because that attitude will be reflected to your children. And in this day and age, kids need parents who encourage their self-esteem and provide a healthy example of it.
