Have You Ever Been Talking to Someone who was Talking on Their Mobile Phone  

Yes, as a matter of fact, I was talking to someone the other day on her cell phone who was riding her mule, and she had a collision with a camel...right on highway 40! I told her not to take her mule out on Sundays on the highway, because that's when the camels go joyriding, but she didn't listen.

Seriously, I have not had this happen, but it is something I think about when talking to someone on their cell when they or I are driving.

I have almost wrecked when talking to someone on the phone, too. I would feel awful about what I'd put the other person through having to hear that if it happened.

I haven't had this happen, although I have often worried about someone talking to me on their cell phone whilst driving.

Also.. cell phones often cut off, especially in rural areas, and sometimes I hear a noise before this happens.. and then, when they no longer respond, I imagine some horrible tragedy has occurred and worry myself silly until such time as they call me or I get a hold of them again.

No I haven't. BUT, I have been talking on my cell phone and gotten into an accident myself. I was talking to my friend while driving my car at the time. I came around a curve in the road and there were 3 deer crossing the road right in front of me. I couldn't turn to avoid them because there was a car coming the other way and on my other side there was a very big ditch, so I ended up hitting 2 of them. Thankfully I did have some time to slow down so I didn't hit them very hard, they both got up and walked away and there was only slight damage to my car. So my friend heard me get into the accident, all he heard at the time was me saying "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God!" Then I told him I had to go and hung up. Later I called him back and told him what happened, he said it was pretty scary knowing that something bad was happening but not knowing exactly what or if I was ok. I hope I never have to be on that end of the phone when something liek that happens because I can only imagine how scary that is!

I haven't had this experience and i really hope that i never do! I suppose i have been on the phone to people when they have stubbed their toe or banged their head but never anything serious, i wouldn't have known if they hadn't told me!! hehe When i read this discussion it reminded me of an advert that was on recently, it was a man talking to his wife on the phone while driving, and then suddenyl he crashed because he wasn't concentrating, the noise was horrible, it always gave me the creeps!! definitely made me think twice about driving whilst on the phone! xxx

Thank God I have never been talking to anyone and they got into a accident.
But I do drive a lot in the summer months, ( local ice cream lady) I have seen accidents and have jumped on my cell phone to call and report the accidents! It was all I could do to help!

Yea, I tell my mom to get off the phone all the time and she just yells at me that she needs to check her messages, ha. Anyways one day she was checking it again and a big truck hit my side of the car because she ran a red light. Thank God it was only bruises, but she still does it to this day and yells at me if I tell her to get off of it and pay attention.

No, I haven't had seen happen.
I have seen so many people talking on the phone and almost causing accidents.

I was at the traffic light once, mines was red and turned green, my mind told me to hold it when it did turn green sure enough this truck ran the red light the driver was talking on his cell phone. After he ran the light I saw his brake light come on I said to myself it is to late now. You may as well keep going what's done is done.

Yes, once I was talking on the phone when I heard someone have an accident. It involved Number 2.

That has never happened to me, hope it never does. Law here prohibits cell phone usage without a hands free device, so hopefully that will cut way down onthat sort of thing.
