something that encouraged you when you are in hardship | | Days before,I was terribly tired and dipressed in my romance.I even began to doubt about my affection. Then,I made myself concentrate on reading one of my favorite books, and one sentence encouraged and re-energized me a lot.The sentence is:" The one doesn't love you in the way you want never means he/she does not love you with all he has."

But I mostly think about people who were/are in worse situations than I and made it out alive and stronger. Those are the one's who encourage me:)

| lovezero (18) | 1 year ago | Thanks for your attention. But I find that it's really difficult for me to get religion.I think I am too anxious and fretful to build a faith in religion. But I am really respectful to the people like you. In my opinion, the religious bilivers must be quieter, kinder and more lenient.

| j_sgill (40) | 1 year ago | but what is religion? to me it is more of a man-made word/thing. you don't have to belong to a specific religion and follow any guidelines in my to believe in and acknowledge God, what is the point in doing something that feel forced upon you? I think most people may believe in and acknowledge God but are put off by people who promote and even force their own beliefs and practises on others. Believe what is in your heart, trust me God is always there for you and that in itself is very reassuring. You can feel God but may not know it, think of your conscience for example - why is it that it tends to make you realise when you are doing something wrong, what makes you realise what is god? Trust me it is God. Loving God can make you feel wonderful - no other feeling in the World cmpares, you can find true happiness.

| j_sgill (40) | 1 year ago | sorry quite a few spelling mistakes there, didn't notice while typing. I meant your conscience makes you realise what is GOOD, although we don't always listen and end up ignoring it - this is the attitude of many to God too. It is quite saddening and I believe that people are the main cause as I mentioned. I think some look at religious people as extreme, weird and even mad - it is a shame, not everyone is like that.

|
| lovezero (18) | 1 year ago | HA...I misunderstood your first response and mistook that you are a riligious beliver. You mentioned that some beliver seem wired, extreme,I think that's because they hold a wrong attitude and aspiration in getting in a religion,or they are misled by some evil guys. Anyway, I believe that some typical religion are not harmful to people, which guide their followers to being kindhearted to others in a extent.such as the Buddism. Are you agree? Best wishes to you. From your words, I am sure that you are a very self-confident and self-reliable guy.

| j_sgill (40) | 1 year ago | Well i would say that I am a believer, my personal faith is Sikhism it has provided me with my personal route to the Lord and faith, what I mean is that anyone can believe in, know and love God without having to claim that they belong to a certain religion - most people appear to look down on and disrespect other religions which i think is really wrong. The word religion was probably created by people and doesn't hold too much meaning for me - as long as you believe in God that is fine and as long as you believe in doing good that is great too. Religion is just a way of following a God, a route or path and I believe there are numeerous routes to God - one person cannot claim to have the only way, saying that is wrong and disrespectful to others. Above all love is the greatest thing, it isn't about having great knowledge and following stringent rules & guidelines, it is more simple than we make out. If we talk about all religions, they all have major similarities anyway, the true teachings are all good. I think if ANY religion is practised in the way it truly should be that is a great and wonderful thing - most are misinterpreted and mixed up by people. I hope that makes sense, apologies for any confusion

| j_sgill (40) | 1 year ago | Hello, i'm sorry for the late reply i've been away for the weekend. I would be glad to tell you more but would first like to stress that I am not intending to persuade or influence you in any way. As i stated previously, there are many religions and I do not feel that any of them are wrong, it is simply that people do not follow or understand them correctly and this unfortunately makes others think the religion(s) is/are bad/wrong. I hope you find your own personal path to God, do not allow anyone to force or influence you - go with what feels good and what feels right. That's how it happened for me, it was natural. Regarding Sikhism, it is so vast that it is almost impossible to describe it completely, I don't consider myself to be knowledgeable and don't think that is important to be/ a requirement, so it would/could be disrepectful of me to say too much. However if you have any specific queries I would be more than willing to attempt to answer them. I personally believe that the fundamental teachings are to have love and humbleness. These are the two greatest qualities a human can have and they are GOOD. - again similar to the teachings of other religions e.g. to love, respect, praise God, to follow Their teachings, to live a good, honest life, not to sin, to respect and help others - irrespective of caste, creed status, faith etc. Just as Jesus was considered the son/incarnation of God and represents and taught Christianity, the Sikh Gurus (teachers, guru translate as teacher) were/are the incarnation or forms of God. All Sikhs believe in the 10 Gurus, the first Guru was Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the last known Guru was Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Each of the Gurus contributed to the writings of the holy book of Sikhism: the Guru Granth Sahib. Guru Gobind Singh Ji completed and presented Guru Granth Sahib Ji as the next Guru, as their successor if you like. The teachings of the Gurus, along with those of highly respected holy people/devotees/saints, are written in the Guru Granth Sahib. The Guru Granth Sahib is highly revered and respected, it is present in every sikh temple and is read from and bowed to. This is all very basic information, as I said Sikhism is so vast and expansive. i sincerely hope that I have not been disrespectful, please do not hesitate to request more specific info, it is difficult to "sum" it all up, i hope you understand. Personally the most important things are to follow and uphold good, not to hurt anyone in anyway, to be selfless, to be humble (consider yourself lower than others, not to have any kind of ego, not to look down on people - also not to forget God and consider yourself great). to love God and God's creation, to see goodness in everyone, to appreciate all God does, to acknowledge God, to praise God, not to sin.

| lovezero (18) | 1 year ago | HAHA...don't worry that I would get faith in religion, which I feel rather responsible and restraining than supportable and spirit-reliable.But in real life, I always try to find the balance between others' interests and rights and mine. My principle is to try my best to make a happy life for myself and my loved people without hurting others.HAHA...this must be very narrow and selfish in your eyes, right? That's why I always respect the kind, broad, and philanthropic religion followers. Really appriciate your attention.

| j_sgill (40) | 1 year ago | I don't think that is selfish, that is fine. Please accept my apologies but i didn't fully understand your reply, however there is nothing wrong with your mentality that is a fair comment. It would be wonderful if you embraced the path to God, i just wanted to assure you that i wasn't influencing you - many people do that and try to force people to agree with them or follow their own ideas, i believe that is wrong. People should be allowed to make up their own minds and find their own ways, others can tell of their experiences and good feelings, that is more than enough and can sometimes encourage others.
