Potty training - almost done ...

I'm still trying to train my daughter to use the potty. In the beginning, she did not want to even sit on it. We never forced her. Nowadays she sits on it but still nothing comes out. And she will only sit on it for like 5 seconds. Maybe I need more help here. About accidents, I think you need to ask yourself whether there was any changes in her life lately. I'm guessing since I have not fully trained my daughter. Is she having some anxiety or somethign that lead to teh lapses? BUt whatever it is, you need to be patient and not scold her or it will make her more anxious about it.

Sounds to me like she is just distracted. My 20 month old used the potty really well for awhile, but then she lost interest in it. She knows when she needs to go, but she just does not bother with it.

First off, you are doing super good. To have a kid that will even try to potty train at the age of 2 is a miracle! Most kids don't bother until they are closer to 3, or older.

As far as peeing while watching the TV, she is just distracted and doesn't realize she has to go. That is up to you to keep track of.

Accidents are going to happen and you don't want to punish her for it. When it happens don't make a big fuss, but make her help you clean up the mess.

Some kids can progress really fast and if something changes they can go through a degress stage. both my daughters went through it. They lose interest. You are doing very good for getting her potty trained so early. Just be patient with, try and give rewards if she remembers to go. Start the process all over and put her on the toilet every hour until she remember to do it by herself. I did that with my little boy and he had it figured out in 2 days and was doing it by himself after that.

I would make her go on the potty as soon after she eats or first thing in the mornings when she wakes up. Or else bring the potty in the room where she is watching tv. This could save her any accidents:)

I am having the same issue with my 2 year old daughter. She has been potty trained for about a month with very few accidents. Yesterday she was playing in her room and yelled out to me that she was yet. This morning she was at the table eating breakfast and peed. Later on she was playing and did it again. I have been asking her if she has to go potty and she says no and then 5-10 min later pees her pants. Before this we never even had to ask her if she had to go potty. She would just tell us everytime. Please let me know what we should do when she does pee her pants.
