If after responding to an comment, are we allowed to say Thank You?

Yes, you are right..When I say thank you, I will just make an comment, then, I will just say thank you at the end of the sentence, is that still unacceptable?

You've answered your own query. MyLot is a discussion forum...someone posts a topic and then others respond and so the topic is discussed ....people discuss the topic. Some seem to see this as a Question & Answer forum...that's not what myLot is.

I read the responses to my discussions and I think about what the person has said and then I respond to them.....this is what I believe makes for a discussion....not just saying thanks, etc. If people bother to read and think about what you posted and then think up a response to you, it's polite to comment back to them. Sometimes if the response makes no sense, is negative/nasty, I'll skip it but generally, I like to get into things with people.

I'd love to have one of those discussions that gets lots of responses and discussion back and forth from many people. I really envy the folk who can post those sort of discussions....

there is nothing wrong with saying "thank you" as part of a response, as long as it is not the whole response.

Yes, I thought so too.. My thank you's are my way of appreciating the member for responding to my discussion.. But, I have seen an user just the other day, make an comment, and he said thank you for responding on every comment that he had.. He did not make an statement or anything, all he left to his post was, thank you for responding... I think that is what myLot is against.. So, with my discussions, I will just respond with an statement, and then say thank you... Is this still unacceptable..

i went over all the posts about saying thank you and all these made me think that they're all right. some of us cat help ourselves to express how thnkful we are top those people who responded to our posts especially when their posts help us in making our lives better. maybe we just need to rephrase that.

Yes, that is the same thing that I do too.. I am very polite when it comes to someone doing something for me... Of any kind... I just don't want to say thank you in my discussions, if myLot does not accept it... I want to follow all rules, so that I won't get into trouble.. I know that myLot does allow you to say thank you, regardless... Just not where you are saying thank you, just alone..

Yes, that is true.. I usually will say, thank you for responding.. But, most of the times, there is a comment in front of my post, then the general thank you at the end of the statement.
