|  When you make a discussion? have it occur to you that you are crossing this line and indirectly offending others. I know i did, but that's the idea of freedom of speech isn't it? some one can get hurt in the process but at least the word has spread. no matter how ugly it is. No matter how ignorant maybe, you have said it, and it's there..if so, how do you express it? by saying it in general? or asking a question from the users.

| |  I agree, it is a consequence of free speech, that others are inevitably hurt... But the question is, where is the line? when have we gone too far?
Heres another one related to this, How do we hold ourselves to moral standards if we all have a different moral standard? Who determines who is right?

| |  Don't most of us basically have the same moral standards? I think the question really is degrees, or shades of gray. And when it comes to that, the only one who can decide who is right is you. Of course, that's the philosophical answer. Another answer is society's rules which regulate our behavior through the laws. In that case, society decides who is right. At least that's the theory.

Well greeneagle,you cannot be offensive in mylot and get away with it scot free.All your discussions should stick to the mylot user guidelines.If you are offensive,any one can report your comment as offensive by marking abuse and you will be marked negative which will effect your star ratings.And mylot will take stern action against you by removing the offensive discussion or even banning you.......So I dont think its a good idea to use offensive comments or to use your "freedom of speech" rights in mylot......he..he...
