I was reading an article on the site, http://www.bridalbasics.ca/article.perfect.gown.looks.like.html and thought it was good enough to mention here.
It's written by Gillian Cooper and starts,"When everyone's attention is on the bride, it is important for her to look her best. Choosing the perfect dress is vital in capturing the bride's elegance and beauty. With all the selections available it can sometimes be hard to decide where to start in selecting that perfect wedding gown. Before you can know exactly what it is they are looking for in a wedding dress, it can be important to understand where some of the modern traditions in popular styles originated from, in order to help make an educated selection. "
Read the rest of it to get an expanded explanation and some history on how wedding dresses were selected in the past and on their symbolism and such.

All brides are beautiful and it doesn't realy matter what style of dress she wears as long as she loves the dress.

I used to own a bridal shop. The perfect dress is the one when put on the bride, everyone smiles. Each person is different and what looks good on one may not on another. But after doing it awhile, I could size up a girl pretty quick and know what style was best. I used to get out the 5 best matches, and they did find one in the group.

That's true.
I guess it's the same as any other special occasion dress and subject to different reactions from different people -- the only problem with the wedding gown, is the level of stress the bride feels trying to pick just the right one. I think you have a great talent with your ability to narrow the style down to the best 5 matches -- I sense huge referral business for you.
:)
