I was so thrilled when I found out that there was a movie version but when I watched it, I found it very disappointing. It didn't fully capture the spirit and the original storyline from the book. Definitely, I prefer the book!
I think this is what usually happens, if you read the book first, you get confused with the movie version, and vice versa.
