Why Does My Dog Barks the Mirror?!

Since my shih-tzu Balto turned one year old, he has been barking his reflection on the mirror and we think it funny and ridiculous. 
I just could not believe that every time he sees himself there, he can't still recognize his image!
..he does this all the time.
Do you know anything about dogs barking their own reflection on the mirror? I truly appreciate your ideas.

maybe he thinks that his reflectionis other dog so he barks at it, and maybe he wants to play with the reflection,lol..that was really fun!!

hahaha, then what could i say??why not try to cover your mirror with cloth every night so your dog wont see his reflections at it...

One of my cats is afraid of mirrors. I guess she thinks that the reflection is an enemy and she must be fearful of it. I've heard of dogs barking at themselves in the mirror. They bark, then their reflection barks and they bark back thinking the other dog is barking at them, too.
As long as she doesn't become destructive towards the mirror, I'd let it be. It's kind of funny actually.

It's so cute to see the dogs doing funny things that we don't understand. Yeah, I guess he may think it's another dog and he just wants to play with the dog in the mirror?
I never see how my dog reflection is when she sees herself in the mirror, perhaps I should try it out one day.
