What Is Your Favorite Version Of The Bible?  

I would say the King James version, there are so many version, I'll stay with an original lol.

I like NIV(New International Version) of the Bible.The words are very easy to understand in the Bible.I recently bought a KJV(King James Version)of bible.Its a little difficult for me to understand that Bible.

I don't actually have a copy of the Bible with me at the moment but when I do buy one I have always sought out the King James version. They have made a solid effort to keep this version understandable and as modern as possible, so I find this to be one of the better versions out there.

I would probably say the New King James version, although it may be my favorite simply because that is the main translation I read while growing up.

I still choose the King James Version. I believe, base from what I have read, that it is still the most accurate version available (though it is not easy to read at our current time). But usually when I read my King James Bible, I have a New International Version (NIV) Bible beside me to better understand the passage I am reading.

I love the Amplified Bible and the King James Version most. I use the King James for most memorization because it is more poetic and easier for me to remember. Also I am old enough that all the favorite memorized passages I remember from childhood were always in King James. As for the Amplified, it took me awhile to adjust to the format, but now it is the one I read for reading and for study. I have several other versions but those two are the ones I use most. In fact, last year I was finally able to purchase a parallel Amplified/King James Bible. I also like the original Living Bible Paraphrase, and the New King James.
I do not like the New International Version. There are too many things that just do not seem quite right to me, for example, missing verses that are in all other versions. I have one but I rarely use it.
I bought one of The Message "Bible's" last year and threw it away this month. It was hard for me to throw it away because of it being a "Bible". But I have found too much about it that is just not right. It is using a lot of Wicca as well as other very unBiblical terminology in it, including the Lord's Prayer. I researched it online and found it is the most controversial paraphrase yet. And it is not a translation of the Bible, but a paraphrase. I did not want to give it away where someone else would read it, so I finally gave in and threw it away.

I'm Catholic, but instead of using the New American Bible, I much prefer to use the Douay-Rheims Bible. It's the most accurate translation of the Latin Vulgate, and it hasn't been tampered with by any sort of ecumenical translation. Gratias tibi, Domine!

I don't have a favorite version. The bible is not so relevant to my life. Cheers!!!
