Craziest "Family Guy" ever! | | For those that had a chance to watch "Family Guy" this Sunday evening, you'd probably notice that the writers for the show slipped a few political zingers in the midst of a story that had Stewie (the baby), Brian (the talking family dog) and Mort, (a beloved Jewish neighbor that has a bad case of the "schmuckas") traveling back in time to World War II Europe.
Without hesitation, let me be the first to say that Fox has repeatedly crossed the line offending at least 20 groups of people and maybe some animal species with this particular show on any given week, but this time they might've taken it to far this time.
Okay, the "How come America didn't bomb Germany, knowing they where making weapons of mass destruction? Because they didn't have any oil" joke might have have slipped by most viewers, but the McCain/Palin button pinned under the collar of the Nazi uniform pretty much solidified a statement to what the producers of the show were getting at.
Personally, I enjoy when people cross taboo lines and stand for something. I think that in this case the obvious display of political affiliation was suicide for the show, but it still was funny! Needless to say that "Family Guy" is a Prime time show and appropriately rated for Adults.
The point I do want to make is that I'm hoping that this doesn't become a trend in which TV cartoon shows are used to display opinions and insults about current issues that are adult related.
If "Spongebob Squarepants" and "Patrick Star" are used as Gay rights supporters for the Democratic Party in one of their shows, then It's time to believe there's more than "Political Parties", "Animal Rights", "Human Rights", "Gay rights" and "Politically Correct" people with hurt feelings being violated by the show...
...Innocent children that have the right not to be exposed to the adult garbage we must deal with would have been violated too.

I do have to say one thing though, the other day I got a Looney Toons DVD from the local library and popped it in for the kids, they are starting to ask questions about what I watched when I was a kid and so forth, at the beginning of the DVD Whoopie Dooptie Goldberg was giving this message on how the cartoons they were about to watch were racist and degrading to certain classes of people, I about flipped out. Kids don't know that, its a cartoon, its fricking Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, Oooo, they shoot at them with guns and stick plates in their lips to make them look like the tribesmen, I was ticked off that they did that. I, of course, hit the main menu button and let my kids enjoy the cartoons, and skipped the Sister Act character that tried to make them feel "guilty" for watching a cartoon made 50 something years ago.

mrghill (1982) | 1 year ago | It was pretty funny how they had him look at the viewing audience as if we were part of the cartoon. But then that's the kind of thing people do in real life when they want to toss a zinger about someone.

mrghill (1982) | 1 year ago | Somewhere in the back of the Fox studio, hiding in a broom closet is a disgruntle "Family Guy" writer and a Producer smoking pot from a live monkey's skull thinking of new ways to offend the self-righteous, politically correct American public.LOL!

mrghill (1982) | 1 year ago | I wouldn't expect you to follow American politics, but come on Chick Pooh, you should at least know the fist name of the Prime minister that will instituting the taxes that will dwindle your future nursing income into nothing more than candy money.
