What were your favorite childhood games? | | Back in my elementary years, my favorite games were teks and pog. I would usually go roaming to other rooms inviting or challenging other kids to play teks or pog with me. Most of the times I got reprimenaded by my school teachers because I spent more time playing than staying in the classroom. During the afternoon, when it's dismissal time, I would also play tumbang-preso and patintero. I miss those times when I played those games especially the traditional Filipino games. Now, my younger cousins in the elementary and high schools have video and computer games for fun. How about you guys? What childhood games do you remember to have played before?

| | 3. magicslate (265) | 1 year ago | My childhood friends and I made up a game which we called "Escape". We later found out that it's similar to Cops and Robbers, except that with Escape there is no "base". Instead, the "cops" take their captives along with them. That was our favorite game and we played it over many summers, even into the night when we had to resort to using flashlights.
Some other games I have fond memories of are hide and seek, shato, piko, step-no, chinese garter, ten-twenty, habulang upo, mataya-taya, agawan base, luksong tinik, luksong baka, monkey-monkey, mother may i cross the river, doctor quackquack, marble games, saksak puso (morbid), langit-lupa, nanay-tatay, kickball...and then there were boardgames like monopoly, risk, cluedo, millionaire's game, and scrabble.
And also that game where the objective is to be the first to name the product being advertised on tv. Hehe.

| | 4. leateagee (1061) | 1 year ago | Hehehe ... I love to play games. honestly I have numerous scars in my legs for playing so much. I love to play patintero, luksong tinik and chinese garter to name some. There are still some that I forgot the name. Oh, the black one two three. I'm like a boy. Very active as my mom says so I didn't complain a bit when I realized that as a female, flawless legs would mean a lot as I grow, but I'm fine with having these scars, I love to play. Hahahaha .... Enjoy life. Take care=)

| | 6. leizlmarie (2487) | 1 year ago | wow, good to reminisce those childhood days and the fun in playing even if we look really messy and dirty! anyway, when i was still very young, i used to play "shatong", "patintero", that one with chinese garter, "piko", "tumbang preso", touch ball, and many many more.. even a simple hide and seek, its really fun! oh, i just miss those days!
yes, i also notice children nowadays don't play those "larong lahi" at all.. they prefer computer, psp, and other video games.. maybe its good if they play some larong lahi too and see how fun playing those games..

My favorite game before is tumbang lata. You throw the can and you have to get it and place it on the middle, While your getting the can all of them should hide. Basically it's a tiring game but exciting game also. How days flies! Good night!
