will you consider buying a new car?

I think you should consider the environment as well as your pocket! Do nto change cars unless the old one is falling apart. That is the most economic time to do so. Cars are so well built nowadays that you should get 7-10 years out of a new one. Owing to the depreciation, it appears the best tiem to buy a car is around 3 years old by which time it should only cost around half its orihginal value. Anyone who buys a new car has more money than sense and a 'fool and his/her money are soon parted'! However, I think at last that people are beginning to realise that fuel efficiency is a key factor rather than 0-60 time. With the high cost of fuel running costs are a significant factor if you are on a budget.

It is not the right moment for me to make such a investment so I will keep with my old 11 years old car at least for a couple of years more. The day I change it I am not planning to buy a brand new one but only a fresh car about 3-4 years old when they are a lot cheaper and still in good condition. Mine is quite small so for any longer trip a bit more luggage is not too comfortable.
