Im so Proud of my countries history.

Originally i was born in France. but my origin is Aotearoa(NZ)

Lived heres for 13 years and at the start of this year i really started to learn more of my culture.
Before this, i was quite smart in other cultures as i usually traveled around and wanted to learn more and noticed that the histories have never been nice to them.

But looking through NZ's history, i felt so much pride and respect for the country and that there really is a Paradise or Eden if you prefer.

New Zealand is home of the Maori people(Not originally) 300 years ago, the white man came offering peace and trades.

There were small skirmishes between the two races but not so much that they would hate each other because they were Different.

The Maori race is the only race on earth to have never been enslaved by anyone and that they were the first non-white group to be able to vote, live among other races and even cross breed without discrimination(well maybe a little).

The Nz even stood up against the US.
an alliance known as ANZUS (Australia, New Zealand, United States) was formed between them as a world defence.
The US wanted to place neclear weapons and testing weapons in New Zealand.
Nz said no and told them that the area is Nuclear free.
The US didnt like this and wanted to wage war with NZ at first for not cooperating.
If this event did happen, then Europe, Australasia, Oceania and Japan would help NZ against the US because they are all closer to NZ than they are to the US.

Knowing all of this. makes me proud to be of Maori and European decent. because the two of them worked together like brothers to build a beautiful country.

Sorry im just in a proud moment. im studying for the NZSAS and i found alot of history with them.
NZSAS are the worlds elite. more elite than the Brits.=] and i am happy to be joining.
