Obama's Birth Certificate  

Well I am not sure I will get facts here, but maybe a trail to facts. LOL! No matter how much a person is loved if they aren't a citizen, what happens if they get elected? Would they impeach him? How stupid would it be to let it get that far and then find out? I just still have alot of questions and can't imagine that our government hasn't proven this to the satisfaction of ALL involved, with no room for doubt. Otherwise it would be like the sword of Damecles(sp) over his entire term of office.

This is where you can find the requirements to be president.
According to the constitution, you must be a natural born citizen of the US to be President. Therefore, if he isn't a citizen he can't even become President. I can't believe this wasn't checked out by the Democratic Party before now. It would be extremely lax on their part. I just wish someone in authority would come out and say either Yes or No.

Kerri, you need to reread what I wrote before you deem yourself worthy to judge me of "nonsensical thinking". I take offense at your tone and I rarely do so with anyone. Yet I will give the benefit of the doubt and ask you to reread my questions and take the time to rejudge me if you think that you need to.

I am a person still seeking answers. Which means I, my dear, am a thinking individual. I will not follow ANYONE blindly, ANYONE! I have stated, more than once, that I am not completely happy with either party candidate. Therefore, Kerri, I would be seeking the same info of Mr. McCain if this were an issue with him. If it were an issue, just change the names and you would have my new discussion!

I made several points that surely he couldn't have gotten this far it this was not proved, so why is it still an issue? Do you now understand my concerns. I understand that you are not in the US. With that fact in mind, you can only imagine our upheaval here. Most of us want what is best for our nation and our people. To seek answers, truth, is the only logical thing TO do.

Yes I am outside of America but one should always remember that there are alot of Jamaicans living in America, most of my mother's relatives are citizens there either by birth or otherwise. What Americans should remember is that whatever affect you all does affect the whole world especially those that have close ties such as Jamaica. We all want the best for all of you. So as I said earlier if it comes across as being a harsh tone it was not meant to be.

Can you honestly imagine any of the parties letting him get this far without their being satisfied? That is my whole point here! What purpose would that serve our nation? I know our leaders are not the greatest but what PURPOSE would it serve? Upheaval would be the minimum of the consequences, you know?

That's o.k. Irish I know that there are alot of persons who are defensive when it comes to this Interest but since joining MYLOT I have come to realize that it is not good to Judge so I don't practice it. But I find the information really worthwhile because the writer is explaining the difference between a tamper Birth Certificate and a Real one. I sincerely hopes that Obama does have a valid Birth Certificate because Politics is such at is not a pretty thing.

If it is true that he is not a citizen and win the Presidential Election they can take it away from him and give it to Biden on the grounds that he is not a citizen. This would be a disgrace so I hope and pray that he does has a valid one. If this does happen children who are black and educated will see racism as the cause of all this if it should happen. He is not talking and I hope he knows that the Constitution is there for a reason all aspiring Politician should abide by the rules and regulation.

I agree. I don't see anything good coming of it if they let someone get that far and then yank it from them after the fact. Just insane, I sure hope that they don't even do something so stupid and I pray that the government has checked all this out in advance and are satisfied that he is all on the up and up!

Irish, the Isotopia site that Kerri first directed you to is not a blog or political in any way. It's a technical website belonging to Chris 'Xenon' Hanson, who is one of the lead programmers for 3D Nature, which is also not political in any way.

As a computer geek and programmer, I found the link to be very interesting and informative. Isotopia and 3D Nature are now saved in my favorites for totally geeky reasons.

The topic was image tampering and was one of many topics found on the home page, including debunking a couple of images that are supposed to be Sarah Paolin, but are not. On this specific page Chris walks you through various ways of detecting tampering such as looking at the data file and the hex dump behind the image (remember that an image is a data file with specific attributes) as well as two other methods which went right down to the individual pixels, looking for errors and inconsistancies.

You're right in that there was a very obvious alteration...the Certificate Number had been blacked out but, other then that, Chris was not able to find any evidence that the image proported to be Barack Obama's birth certificate had been altered in any way. He was even able to detect the date stamp from the back of the document that is barely visible on the front by boosting the contrast and, after flipping that image, it indicates that this copy was printed on June 6, 2007. It's Chris's opinion that little touches like that lend an air of credibility to the document since it was not a necessary to include.

For comparison purposes, and to show you what you would have seen in an altered image, he used a Photoshopped version of the birth certificate that he found on the web showing Obama's birthplace as Antartica. He goes through each step in the analysis again and highlights as well as explains how his methods found the alterations in the second image.

There are a couple of reasons for the lawsuit that spring to mind. This lawyer wants his name out there so what better way to get free advertizing by being mentioned in the news again and again? It could be that he really believes there's a conspiracy or he could just be so against Obama he considers planting doubt in the minds of the voters in this way as his little effort to help McCain.

I posted farther down that, if there was anything to this, I'm sure the McCain camp would be shouting it from the rooftops but their silence on the matter says it all...they know the birth certificate is legit.

I agree with you Spall, I don't think that an opponent would have something like that hidden knowing that it would give them mileage. As for Palin she would be the first to spit it out. What I think Obama should do though is to talk about it so that the undecided will see that he is a born citizen because even though he is leading in the polls there are persons who will not go out to vote or change their vote on election day. So he need to convince the Undecided so that he know he has those in his interest.

Obama has bought some network airtime...I forget when it's going to air...but maybe he'll address all of these issues then. It would be a good time to do it because, I agree with you, removing all doubt before election day can only help him.

You know, the bible says(and I can find reference if asked) that no leader is in authority except that the Lord allowed it. So whoever wins the Lord allowed it for HIS purposes. I find peace in that because my trust is in Him!

That said, I still cannot fathom him getting this far without both parties being completely satisfied that he is a citizen. Devil's advocate to some, maybe, but really what good would it serve to allow it and find out after he was elected? I am perplexed to say the least.

I've been having a hard time understanding what all the fuss is about. It's inconceivable to me that a man could go to the US Senate without verifying his birth. As far as having an official Birth Certificate is concerned, many people do not. But when you go to work for any civil service or government agency, that agency is able to get information released from the states and it is done on their own forms NOT by producing an official birth certificate.

When I was hired to be a caseworker in Philadelphia county back in the late 1970's, I gave them my birth info and they verified it. And they verified absolutely everything. I had a three credit Western Civ college course that I'd taken as a summer course in a nearby university that was not with the transcripts from my college. I had to go to the university, get a transcript and rush it to the state office building. Other newly hired caseworks had to to the same for varous missing background info but the state did it's own verification of birth. I find it impossible to believe that I went through all that red tape to be a caseworker but a US senator can just coast in without even having his or her birth verified.

irisheyes, this is not about being verify this is about knowing that one can show hard evidence. A person can verify for you (sometimes person even tell lies) because he/she knows that this will either break or make you. Everyone wants to know that a person who is flying his/her country Flag is indeed a solid Citizen whether it been Sports, Education or Politics. I think that the Democratic Party need to come clear and to tell the massive whether he is a true American or a Kenyan One.

One possibility is that he was not born in Hawaii but Kenya. I think that they have proven that she (Anne) did make a trip to Kenya but they think that she was too pregnant for the airlines to let her fly back. His paternal grandmother who lives in Kenya says that she was present at his birth. One hospital is listed as the one he was born in and his half sister says that he was born at a different hospital in Hawaii. Now if he were born in Kenya, I believe the rule is that the mother has to be 19 for the child to be considered an American and Anne was only 18. Or it is 18 and she was only 17. I forget. The law was changed but that was after 1961.

Another theory is that he was born in Hawaii but was adopted by his step father. He did live in Indonesia for a few years and went to school there under the name Barry Soetoro. His school records say that he was Indonesian and the religion is listed as Muslim. Some think that his American citizenship was relinquished. Then when he returned to Hawaii to live with his grandparents he never reapplied for American citizenship and therefore he is a naturalized citizen and to run for president he has to be a natural citizen born on this soil.

I think that I have explained it correctly. Anyway, there are about three lawsuits out there asking him to prove he's actually able to legally run for president and so far he hasn't produced anything.

I guess one of my major concerns is the upheaval that would result if they proved anything AFTER the fact. If he wins and then they all were to come out and say he is not a citizen, with proof, what possible good could come of deceit of that magnitude?

Wow, that is kinda confusing and hard to keep track of. So he may or may not have been born in america. His parents may have revoked his american citizenship when he was a kid living in another country. Um these things are kinda important. I would think that to fill out the form to run for president with the federal government that he would have had to at that time prove he was a "natural citizen". Where are those forms? They would be a matter of public record so anyone should be able to see them. Find out what part of federal government handles it and then find their website. You should be able to find out there.
I think they would not have let him go this far if he was not a natural citizen. That or someone did not do their job and research to make sure he was elligible. Talk about an October surprise. If this turns out to be true then that could leave the democratic party with a complete mess on their hands at the last minuate.
But then waht will probly happen is that those lawsuits will never see a courtroom until way after the election if not years afterwards. What are they going to do then after the fact?

My opinion...the McCain campaign is not stupid and I'm sure they looked into this the moment it was first whispered. They have the most at stake. What a coup that would be for John McCain, to have Barack Obama proven ineligible to run for office at the last minute and forcing the DNC to come up with an alternative candidate...who would have to be a write in vote since there is no time to reprint ballots.

I think, if they had such an October surprise they would have used it before early voting started, hoping to get the votes of those who have already voted for Obama before they had the chance to vote for him.

Obama Sr. was from Kenya and Barack still has family there. In fact he is very loved and revered in Kenya. They have named at least one school after him.

McCain was born on an American military base which is considered American soil so he is eligible to run since he is an American citizen. McCain presented his birth certificate and other documents without any hesitation.

Obama is not being as cooperative it seems.

I understand what you are saying, but as an American Citizen, if I visit France or any other country when I am pregnant and I go into labor and deliver the baby on foreign soil, the baby is still the Natural Born US Resident. I don't see what the difference is here.

His father may have been a forgein national but his mother was a US Citizen, therefore so is he.

But the way I understand it if she would have been 19 when she had him IF she had him in Kenya in 1961 he would be OK. But since she was only 18 he is a citizen of Kenya. I believe those were the laws back then although they are different now.

William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dorhn are both former terrorists and present day socialists. Still unrepentant for the bombings they carried out as a part of teh Weathermen Underground organization. Obama has been less than truthful with this relationship, too.

Louis Farrakhan lives in the same Chicago neighborhood as does Obama and Ayers. Farrakhan has been a guest at both Wright's and Father Michael Pfleger's churches. He loves that brother (Obama) and would not do anything to hurt his chances of becoming president. He has referred to Obama as the Messiah.

Also, do a Google search of a man named Raila Odinga. He says he is Obama's cousin in Kenya. He ran for president of Kenya and he wanted to bring back Sharia law and stop helping America with the war on terror. He is a Muslim, educated in communist Germany and named one of his sons Fidel after the Cuban dictator. When he didn't win he claimed voter fraud and riots ensued. Christian women and children were burned alive in a church. Many people were killed and hurt. Obama made a trip to Kenya when Odinga was running for office and Odinga was at his side almost constantly. Obama made speeches against Odinga's opponent and that man, Kibaki, accused Obama of being Odinga's stooge/puppet.

I am aware of most of what you have said and wish that I could verbalize it as well as you have. What confuses and frustrates me most is why other Americans don't care who this person really is. My nickname from the beginning as I watched him, has been The Puppet. He is and has from the beginning been led around by so many people in power, with money and all the wrong agendas. If our Country doesn't wake up before it's too late, I quiver at the thought of what the outcome will be. I truly am worried about the outcome of this election.

I want to let you know ahead of time that I am an Obama-supporter, although that'll probably be obvious, and I want to ask you this because I get the impression you will actually try to be nice with your answer :) I hear people say we don't know enough about what Obama has done "off the record", but do you honestly think you know about what ANY politician has done off the record? I bet if you Googled any politician, you would find ways to link them to people who would concern you. I guess I just don't understand why this bothers people more about Obama than any other candidate for political office. I find it hard to believe he is some kind of socialist/terrorist who is un-American and dangerous, but has managed to keep it all "off the record" and out of his rhetoric and speeches.

Anyway, even if I'm wrong, I wouldn't be afraid one way or the other. We as a country have shown we can survive anything! If he wins and starts screwing things up, we'll just vote him out next time...

First of all, of course I would be nice about it.
To begin with, Obama has alligned himself with people who have proven by their reputation they cannot be trusted. They are not only Anti-American, they are involved in terrorism against America. They spew speaches with hatred against America. These are the kind of people that Obama has surrounded himself with. My fear is that their influence will impair Obama's judgement when representing all Americans. I'm afraid he will make decisions that do not necessarily represent the best interest of the American People.
As far as McCain goes, I truly believe he is an honest man. He holds America in the highest regards. He is one of the few Politicians that we can trust. He has only the best intentions for the American People. He is not perfect but he has proven his loyalty to America. He will do whatever it takes to protect this Country. And that is because he believes that we are worth protecting. We need to feel safe. We need to think smart. I hope I helped you sweetie.

I agree with your assessment of McCain. He has been around long enough that we know we can pretty much trust him. He did have an involvement in the Keating Five scandal but he admitted his wrongdoings, apologized, and returned any money that he was given. He was not charged with anything and in fact was the only one who won re-election. There is also his days of womanizing and his failed first marriage which he says is his biggest regret.

But Obama has suddenly burst on the scene from out of no where. He doesn't take responsibility for anything. He just makes up excuses and says, "He's not the person I knew". I'm still trying to figure out how he figures he should run for president. No one seems to be able to say what impact he's ever made on anything.

The facts would be nice all around, but where shall the little people get them? THAT is the question.

1) If Mr. Obama IS a legal citizen then why does he just not show the proof and get it all over with?

The thing is whether you like the man or not, Obama has endured some of the worst mudslinging that I've ever witnessed in any political race. He has been labeled a traitor, a terrorist, they are accusing him of lying about his citizenship, etc. My point is this; why is the man being so hated? What does the general populace have against him?

My only conclusion is that this is happening because of his ethnicity. We have never had a "Black" president or at least one who looked the part. (As you may or may not know we have had six presidents with African American blood in their veins). In America's eyes we are witnessing our first Black candidate who may actually have a chance of getting into the White House. It's obviously a scary thought for a lot of folks.
