Whats the point?

Well, I don't know why but many people do that. I saw people keep saying sorry, but in the other day they just do it over and over again. For me it is something that a little bit contradicted, between feeling and saying sorry and keep doing the same thing. Some people never changes, people like that doesn't know how to feel sorry. I often say that to someone who do that to me (keep saying sorry and keep doing the same thing), "No you're not sorry, but if you don't change your attitude from now, I believe you will..."

To quote: "Action speaks louder than words.":).. We could see the sincerity of someone who is apologizing if he/she shows it through actions and not just by merely saying the words: "I'm sorry", though I find that words hard to tell.:)

Yes, you are so right! I always wonder why people say something like this just knowing that will do it again.. My mother-in-law was very guilty of this. She would tell me she was sorry for something that she had done to me, then in another two weeks or so, she will be right back to her old dirty tricks again.. I have gotten to the point where I no longer believe when she tells me that she is sorry.. Because if she truly was, then she would not do something else that will make her have to apologize all over again.. She should say sorry only when she really means it! And that also goes for anyone else that has this problem!

you are right, but still it is good habit to say sorry if you hurt someone atleast it can be soothing for the moment though, saying sorry for doing the same mistakes will not be tolerable but I think if you really hurt someone's feeling or harm someone you must say SORRY to him or her

It actually depends on the mistake to begin with. For example if I break a dish at someones home or ruin something I've borrowed, I most certainly am going to appologize and replace the item. I truly am sorry and I truly am clumsy and I know that it'll probably happen again sometime...hopefully not. Some things are just honest, human mistakes. Things like lying, cheating, etc. Now those are deliberate acts and if repeated, then I'd say the person has a problem and yes...sorry does not cut it over and over. Those are the types of things that should make you think twice about the relationship.

My mom used to always tell me the same thing.
I'd say I was sorry and she'd look at me and say "It doesn't do any good to say you're sorry if you are just going to turn around and do it again."
Now that I am older I see the wisdom in those words.

Sometimes, no matter how we meant the things that we have done we still need to ask for an apology to that person because we know that we hurt them and its not a good feeling that there's someone who get mad or got hurt with what the things that we made..

I always asked an apology to all the person who I have hurt whether I mean the things that I've done or not but my sorry is really sincere..When everytime I asked for an apology I always mean it no matter what others will think about me.. What is more important to me is that I'm sincere and I've done the things that i need to do and its up to that person whether he/she forgive me or accept my apology..

Sometimes, no matter how painful that I've cause to someone I've hurt if I am not yet ready to asked for an apology I won't say "sorry" to him/her because I know that if ever I'll say that word to him/her I don't mean it, and I don't want to say something that I don't mean it because I know that our relationship won't be good or the more there would be fight and misunderstand between us.. So, asking for an apology for me is something that you mean it and very much sincere..
