halloween party!

my sister had a bon fire halloween party last night. my parents watched all our kids (was only 3) so we could have a kid free night. that kind of thing doesnt happen in our family that much so it was cool. we had a good time. about half the people dressed up. i was a witch. didnt have to push too hard to find all the stuff. most the clothes i wore were part of my every day outfits and the kid had a witch hat from a couple years ago. hehe cost free costume. we had fun. the times we get to hang out like that are so few and far in between anymore. do any of you have costume parties to go to? you gonna dress for halloween?

Sounds like fun!!
This will be the first year in a long time that my husband and I will get going to a Halloween party.
My daughter will be at her grandmothers.
We are still trying to figure out our costumes but I agree making them yourself is not only fun but saves you money!
We were thinking of maybe being an old western Cowboy and Indian..
The party is being hosted by a friend of ours and it looks like there will be many attending.
I am also going over early to help her decorate the backyard for the party.
I found some neat recipes for Halloween style appetizers!

I love kid free nights out! My husband and I were invited to an adult Halloween party last night, but it was our boys birthday party, so we couldn't go. We went last year and I dressed like a hula girl. It was things out of my closet too. I had a grass skirt from a party we were invited to and thenjust put on my tankini floral top, and flip flops. Easy costume!

a hula girl thats awesome! i always get invited to out doors Halloween parties and cant do anything that cant include layer upon layer of clothes. lol

Yeah, It was snowing that night and I had to wear my boots and then change into my flip flops for the party. Lucky for me it was inside or I would have froze!
