We see animals as possessions or lesser beings. It is easier to dispose of them than try and help them.
We contain people as opposed to killing them because we have more compassion for them. Perhaps we see a bit of ourselves in them, and fear one day we may be in there shoes. SO we treat them best we can and hope if we ever fall others will do the same for us.
I think we should have a stricter on criminals. If you get life with no chance of ever getting out, then maybe you should be put to death.

You have a very good point, of course I support public hangings so take it for what it's worth. I think if you do a major crime, you should hang in the town square as a deterrent to other offenders. I can just about guarentee you that once ppl see other ppl swinging from a rope, they'll think twice about their actions.

**STAND STRONG AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF**

I think that it is because whilst humans are animals, we've evolved beyond a simple instinctive desire for revenge. Or have we? If we kill a killer are we not just as guilty? Have we not lowered ourselves to their level and debased humanity? Animals are just that and whilst we love them and often treat them as family we hate to see them suffer. Wouldn't a better analogy be why shouldn't we put down other humans who are old or sick, or injured maybe. They too might well be a drain on the state?

You cant keep an animal caged forever then they call that animal cruelty or something like that.Animals such as dogs need to be able to run free go outside etc. Humans they want them to sit and think about what they have done, that is why they usual put a bad person into prison or jail. I believe in the death penalty for other people who do murder, just the way of life and how we were brought up in society.
