Do you think "Saturday Night Live" helped any one of the candidates or hurt one |

over the other. I noticed during the time I watched that Obama never appeared live like MCcain or Palin.

1. prplrust (492) | 1 year ago | I don't think it hurt either one of them. It was meant as a spoof and anyone who watches SNL would know that and not take it seriously.

lotterylover (4731) | 1 year ago | I don't usually watch SNL but my wife did. She doesn't usually watch it either but she wanted to see what they were going to say about the candidates. I just don't think it really helped McCain out at all.

3. cobrateacher (4176) | 11 months ago | Obama didn't need to appear, and McCain and Palin made total fools of themselves. They came across as desperate, which they were, and that hurt them almost as much as his temper and her vapid idiocy!

lotterylover (4731) | 10 months ago | I was just watching about shows that were comical. They showed all the president elects who had been on Saturday Night Live or Laugh In. I was surprised at how many had appeared so wonder why Obama didn't appear on one of them?

4. lovinlifemindless (1247) | 9 months ago | i dont think that snl made a difference on the group of thinking people that voted but maybe on the unthinking majority it could have influenced. lots of people want to say that as a people we are smarter than to blindly agree with the celebs but unfortunately that is just not the truth. i personally talked to a group of 18-22 year olds about this election before it happened. now they didnt say it was cuz of snl but they did really seem to be influenced by the tv instead of trying to listen to the actual candidates. they never watched a debate but by what the news said and other commercials they were gonna vote for obama.
so in short. the kids watched a bunch of tv commercials paid for by obama about obama and trash taking the other side (ALL OF THEM DO THAT) and voted for obama. the poor little tykes think they made their own decision.....
