How to Maintain a Nice Hair?

I share that jealousy. I've had long hair before, but it's never been pretty long hair. Once my hair passes a certain length, it becomes unruly, tangle-prone, and dull. Plus, if it's close to approaching my waistline, I start getting frequent headaches from the weight of it.

I'm beginning to come to terms with the fact that I will never have long, lovely movie-star locks-- but still, I am jealous of those girls who can.



But besides that...:)
My main tip to maintaining healthy hair at any length is minimizing heat styling. I let my hair air-dry as often as possible, to keep myself from blasting it with a hot blow dryer and sizzling it with a curling iron. I use a leave-in conditioning cream to give soft texture, mush it through my damp-but-toweled-dry hair, and don't touch it with a comb. It dries into beachy-looking waves. I only heat style about once every 2 or 3 weeks, so my hair has precious little heat damage.

I am jealous of them too. I don't know what they eat and what they wear which make their hair appear pretty and shining all the time. For me I have long hair but my hair is dull.

I even went to the salon to make my hair rebonded. It costs me RM200 to re bond my hair. After doing the re-bonding, my hair was shining and everybody asked me about it. I felt I am pretty and I am very satisfied about it.

However, after the first wash the quality of my hair shine started to fade. After the third, fourth and later washes my hair turned back into its original shape. It is dull, cracking, easy to break in the middle and I look ugly.

I don't know what to do about it. But I was puzzled because when I went to the salon, the hair dresser can make my hair turn into like the celebrity. My sister in law even told me to go apply for the shampoo advertisement because she said my hair looked so beautiful.

Now I am frustrated but I think I want to go back to the salon and ask her honestly how to turn my hair back to the beautiful shape. If I have to buy some sort of cream or equipment, I would buy if it is within my budget.

It is frustrating, isn't it... to have dull, wild hair?

My hair is long. I just wash my hair like every 2 days or so. Your really not suppose to wash it everyday because it can wash out natural chemicals your hair needs to grow. I use pantene, head and shoulders or Paul Mitchell shampoos. If you start to get split ends make sure to trim them as soon as possible. If you leave split ends they can split all the way up and ruin your hair. I hope you have success with your hair. Just seems like my family was born with good hair! Our hair grows really fast and my my mom and sister all have long hair. My other sisters hair is short but she chooses to have short hair.
