Should cigarettes and alcohol be be banned from advertising?

I am of the view that addictive substances like cigarettes and alcohol should not be allowed to advertise on media whether it is print or live television.My belief is that media helps to increase the reach of these substances often to innocent minds who are incapable of making a conscious decisions. I am not proposing that we stop manufacturing these substance just a ban on the adveritising .I think the people who want them should find ways to source them in that way media absolves itself of any wrong doing increasing its use.Consequently those who get addicted and develop diseases will have no one to blame but themselves
