do your children like to take pepto bismal when they're sick?.......

All of a sudden out of the blue my youngest son develops a case of the stomach virus. You know the one with the up-chucking and loose bowels?......yeah, that one. He was fine 1/2 hour before it happened. I don't know why but my children hate to use Pepto Bismal. They say that it makes them feel worse.
My mom kept saying that I was a good mom because when my son is sick he needs for me to be in the bathroom with him while he up-chucks. I guess it's comfort thing knowing that I'm there. She says that is something she could never do. He is asleep on the couch now. I hope it's over. I hate to see my children hurt

Pepto Bismal, oh no. When I was a kid I hated that stuff. Whenever I had an upset stomach, my mother use to have that on hand. I hated the taste, and after taking it I was always sicker than before taking it. It always made me throw up more. Maybe that is what it was supposed to do in order to get all of the bad stuff out of you. But boy oh boy, it was horrible.

You know, maybe it's supposed to be nasty in order for children to throw up the bad stuff
that's inside but that is some nasty pink stuff that my children really hate. My son's stomach still aches from all of the up-chucking and diarriah (did I spell that right?) but the worst part is over. Take care and God Bless!

i don't have any child yet, since i am still 20 and single--but my mom said that pepto bismal has some bad effects that is why she never recommended it to my cousins.
