I love philosophy. A few of my most favorite philosophers are Socrates, Plato and Descarte. Socrates was so profound. I believe his thinking was ahead of his time. So much so that it costed him his life. The people in his town believed he was corrupting the youth with his ways of thought and beliefs, and many believed it to go against religion. I admire Socrates, because he was always searching for answers regard the way the world worked, religion, and as to what made man tick. Instead of dying a quick death execution style, Socrates elected to die a slow painful agonizing death witnessed by his students, by consuming cyonide. This was because he wanted to die a hero in the eyes of his students, instead of dying a coward. Plato's philosophy dealt with mathetical forms and deductive reasoning. DeCartes philosophy dealt with the Dream Theory, the Divine Being, and with the Theory of Theological Doubt. He doubted everything, including his own existence. According to DesCartes, the only thing that did exist was that man was a thinking being.
