Does the "Tooth Fairy" come to your house?

Oh, my. That takes me back some. My youngest is 15 now, so it's been a long time since the Tooth Fairy has come by our house. When I was little, the Tooth Fairy left a dime or a quarter. By the time my kids came around, inflation had hit. My daughter was one of the last kids in her kindergarten class to lose a tooth - all of her friends got dollars! Well, didn't her first tooth fall out the night before payday when we were so broke we didn't even have a dime in the house, let alone a dollar for her tooth! I felt really bad about it until I overheard my husband explaining to her that the Tooth Fairy had a great union rep and Thursday was her night off! That trick stood us in good stead for a few years before she figured out that the tooth fairy only came on mommy's payday.

The tooth fairy used to come to my house all the time when all four of my children lost there baby teeth. Now they are all out of the house and married and now the tooth fairy come to there house for there children.

Of course the tooth fairy comes to my house. With 8 kids the tooth fairy had to come. I think it is a special thing for kids. Just like Santa, easter bunny etc. But I have heard that there are less people that do the whole tooth fairy, santa, easter bunny thing.

I can just picture myself forgetting all about the tooth fairy when I have children and they lose their teeth. To be quite honest its been like 10 years since Ive dealt with the toothfairy to come visit me and I have no young children in my family so this is the first time in years Ive heard anyone discuss the tooth fairy. Im not sure if Id do it. I think I might possibly bring it up to them, just hope by that time I remember too. My parents werent too big on the iddea although when I put a tooth out I got money, I just found out at a young age it all wasnt true so it wasnt big in my family.

I have 5 kids and they all know that there is NO tooth fairy and NO santa claus
I am not going to lie to my kids and feed them full of strange fantasies
my kids deserve to know the truth about life

That is crazy lol my parents always did that for me and I do plan on doing it for my son even though he isn't going to be old enough for anything like that yet. Basically he only has like 8 teeth. but that is completely absurd to not have the tooth fairy lol.

The tooth fairy still comes to our house, though maybe not as generious as others though.

Maybe their kids don't belive in such things nor have they instilled such things in their kids or they can't even afford to put the effort into slipping into their room and leaving a lil something.

I know if I had young kids the Tooth Fairy would still come to my house. Why would anyone think this is strange? It is something that is Fun and can help a child who has just lost a tooth as well. The only problem is I am sure with Inflation now you would need to give them more than 25 cents. But I think doing this is actually something Fun so keep on doing it if you wish.
