| |  It depends on where you live. I am a hypnotherapist, not a psychologist. ALL of my training was in methods of hypnosis. In fact, most psychologists do not know nearly as much about hypnosis as someone who specializes in hypnosis. There are many schools that specialize specifically in hypnosis. Many offer degree programs.
I have been called on by many psychotherapist to use hypnosis with their clients, mainly because they have not had the training in hypnosis that I have. I often refer clients to psychologist and therapist when I feel that the clients' needs would be better met with that kind of therapy.

| |  First let me state that Hypnosis is a tool that many psycologist use in helping patients overcome phobias,fears or find out information that may be vital to helping the patient overcome his or her ailment. It should not be used as a party item. You can learn hypnosis in a relativly short period of time. But it is unasvisable unless you realy know what you are doing. While in the service I studied and used hypnosis to help people overcome their phobias with great success. It is also a great way to overcome your own fears and to make yourself a better person. But agian before you try you should learn as much as possible.If you type in learn hypnosois in your browsers window you will see many sites that have information on this subject.
