Do you always get what you want when you were just a kid?

No. We weren't really well-off. Ours was a middle-class family and my father was the only one working then. But even if he was earning enough, we didn't take advantage of that by asking whatever it was we wanted. We, I and my two siblings, waited for our parents to ask us if we needed anything or we just waited for them to give to us out of their own will.

However, it was already a given during our childhood, that our dad took us to the U.S. every summer as a reward for having done well in school. That was his gift to us. As kids, al we ever asked from our dad during our trips abroad was for him to take us to Disneyland.

Yeah me too, my dad's salary was only enough for food, regular clothes and school. My favorite hobby since I was little is reading, and my dad can't afford books other than school books, so I became a library member. I like to learn English and learn it by myself because we can't afford an English course's tuition. And I'm glad that my kids won't have the same situation like me but it doesn't mean that i have them spoiled, I'm not giving them everything they want. Happy mylotting always...

no, we dont get what we wanted when we were younger, we didnt come from a well-off family, but i guess we're ok, my sisters, brothers and our cousins we had fun playing together...

me i don't get everything because its not my life to get what i want. and i guess its good not to have everything you want in your child days because you can be trained in future not to expect all things are fare.

Well, I am the youngest of 9 children. My father once said during my 18th birthday that I am spoiled. Personally, I don't think so. I didn't really get everything I wanted. Maybe there were times that my sisters and brothers have to give me something they have because I am younger. But there are times that I've been the last resort of minor household chores. Anyway, I have nothing against it and I am still happy about everything that happened in my childhood days. There were ups and downs. Well, that's life.

I sometimes get what I wanted when I was a kid but not all the time. Once, I had a balloon which I wanted. I let go of it and it flew up. I wanted it to stop but it didn't. I wanted someone to catch it but nobody did. I wanted it to be stuck in the branches of a big tree but it never did. I cried. Cheers!!!

nope, i was not a spoiled kid. and it was not my habit to insist. i was contented spending time in the toys department just looking at the colorful toys while my mother was shopping for our needs. however, my parents struggled to give us the best in our studies. good schools, enough allowance so that my brothers and i would not get hungry while in school. education was a priority.

When i was small i dont used to get what i like, my parents cannot always afford. But i feel that whatever we want we do get in life but a little late when we actually dont need that. That's my case.

Nope. My mother had a hard time just trying to make ends meet when we were younger. She still gave us some things that we wanted even if it was more than what she could afford to make us happy. I don't think she will give us everything though even if we are well-off because she wants us to accept the fact that nobody can get everything that he wanted, that's the reality of life.
