How you deal with your kids if they are not listening your words???

i notice to my kids when i always yell them they will not listen to me and they keep ignoring me sometimes i told to them that they will come to me when they have something that they want and when they dont need me they will not listening the words that i said to them.
Now that i never yell them when i call them i noticed that they are getting close to me, i guess they need an attention and sometimes partners are not aware to the relationship to their children thats the reason some children are in the situation of having a bad influence friends for they are longing for the parents love and attention.
I learn from my mistakes and i keep maintaining my relationship to my kids so that they will follow my words because as a parents i want the best for them.

Well, I will shut them in a dark room, or I will yell at them till they cried, or I will slap them. I am not threatening you my parents always do that to me when I was a little child. But I promise not to treat my kids like that in the future.
If ther are not listening to my words, I have no idea. I am coming to learn something from all answerer.

Don't waist your energy...kids just don't listen:) I find that if you talk to them, they tend to listen more than if you are yelling at them. If they don't listen, I may start to do something that they would like to do and then I say, I asked you if you wanted to do this, but you didn't answer me, so I figured you didn't want it.

i take of, shred of all the things i can. like going out, having allowances, cutting their hair, no tv. but i am happy that so far my children are listening. they even help me with the chores around the house. they still once in a while forget and i tell them that i am the mom and what i say is what they will do. i am a single mom of four children it is not easy but you have to tell your children who is the boss in the house.
