A dog is only ferocious/mean if you train them to be that way. I have a rottweiler mix, he is about 14 months old. We have never had a problem with him being mean, or aggressive. He is a very loyal dog, and protects our home. We also have a pit bull, and neither have caused any problems for us. Both of our dogs are labeled dangerous breeds. But we don't see them as what they have been labeled, we see them as we have raised them, to be gentle, and well behaved dogs.

It is a ferocious breed in dogs but you will have to train them properly. These are lovable dogs when you get to know them. My rottweiler, on seeing me enter the house, comes and hugs me and it is very protective.
