1. mdesigning (330) | 1 year ago | There are sprays you can buy in many electronic stores where you also can buy cd/dvd's. You just spray on your disc and can easily clean it with a piece of paper. Works fantastic to me!
A little off topic: In the past I remember my best friend did it with tooth paste, and it did work. Although I do not suggest you to use that one. lol

3. adihindu (1193) | 1 year ago | Just dump them in a bucket of water. If you don't have water in your home, then you can try some low concentration alcohol to clean them. I am not kidding. Its true. For cleaning lens, you have to use low concentration alcohol.

Did you know you can use toothpaste to remove the scratches? I personally tested this and it does work surprisingly. It kinda like waxing your car.
You can only do this method on the back side. If you do this on the front side of the disk more than likely you will ruin it.
What you want to do you is to get with grit into it. So toothpaste that as baking soda into it will work best for this. Now that you have your toothpaste gently smear it onto the cd until it is completely covered. Now you need to get a lint free cloth and rub it in a circular motion radially around the cd.
You need to go around the cd because that's how it is read with the drive in a circular motion. You may need to do this a few times. Rub it well and then once you are done you will then run it under some water either cold or warm and get all the toothpaste off of the cd or dvd.
Once you have it all clean you should notice that the scratches are gone or have diminished some. The grit in the toothpaste works like a scratch remover and gently scrubs off the scratches.
Now stick the disk in and give it a try. If it was not scratched on the front side about any disk can be repaired using this method. If it does not work the first time do it over and over until you get it to work. If they are very badly scratched it may never work again.
So make sure to keep your dvds and cds off of the floor and in their cases as soon as you are through with them. Good luck fixing your dvds or cds!
