Renewing my drivers license..  |

|  I went to cash a check at the bank yesterday and the teller let me know that I had 2 days before my driver license expires. So after all the cleaning and helping my neighbor yesterday and then raking leaves today and the play tonight, I couldn't go to renew until tomorrow morning, the day it expires..
I hate getting my license renewed, my picture never looks right, even when I take a long time to prepare and I am always afraid I will fail the eye test and then I would have to not only take the driving test again, but also get a check up from the eye doctor..But so far the only draw back I have had is the bad picture.
So tomorrow morning, instead of visiting mylot. I will be preparing to look as good as possible to get my picture taken and hopefully get my licens erenewed with no problems..
Do you end up renewing at the last minute? Do you go to extremes to look as good as possible for the picture or do you not even care? And do you fear not passing the eye exam? Have you had to take the driving test over again because of either failing the eye exam or going past the expiration date? I really don't want to take the driving test, the person in charge is not nice at all..:(

| |  in va usa if you try to renew a drivers license it is like applying for a new license. Message to all Virginians renew you drivers license before it expires!!!!!!

| |  Eh, I wouldn't overreact too much.
There are a lot of people who go in daily to renew their licenses, that if you slip up just a bit, they'll waive it - no big deal.
The eye test is easy; I don't know how you all take it, but we just look into a machine and have to read the top line of letters (which are the largest).
As far as looking decent for the picture, hey, it's just a picture. Don't sweat it.
We have a horrible blue background on our driver's license pictures that I hate more than my face!
And just try and stand up straight, smile decently, and keep your eyes open. LOL
And speaking of when I go to renew, so far I've only had to renew once, and I renewed about a week before it expired.

| | Well it expired on Saturday, I don't think they would have let me go with an expired license if I didn't pass. And the eye test sounds the same and would be easy for someone with 20/20 vision. but for those of us who wear glasses/contacts and if our prescription needed to be updated, then we can't pass..But obviously mine is still good, and I did pass it, but the picture once again is horrible..(I wonder, when you give them your old license, do they burn them? | | Wow Ambie, thanks for telling me this..I had always assumed that if my license expires, that I would have to take the written and/or driving test again before getting my new one right away..I will have to check into that, because I hate the stress of realizing my date is up and had no time to get my eyes examined to make sure I could pass the eye test.. | |  I never have to look good for a pic. All I have to do is fix my hair put on lip gloss, mascaura and that's it I am a beautiful looking lady. I don't fear about passing the eye test my eyes are good. Hearing is good driving i good. Some people fear of not passing the test again. Have that happened to anyone? I wait the day of my b-day or two days after.
