For moms of twins.. or multiples |
|
If you have twins or multiples who have been invited to a child's birthday party, do you buy 1 present for that child, from both of your children, or would you buy a gift from each child?
My twins have been invited to a few parties together. They were even invited to a party of another set of twins. Usually if it was just one child I'd buy 1 gift from both kids. I can't really afford to buy a ton of gifts like that. I have a set $10 budget for other kid's birthday parties.
So how about you? How do you go about buying gifts for another child's birthday?

1. Jimmy3371 (135) | 1 year ago | To Me it would have to be with the invite, if it says to the family of what ever then yes one gift is ok. If each child got an invite then you should buy a gift from each child. I am a twin, and I did not like it when my mom and dad would buy one gift and said it was from the both of us. Think back when you was a child and how would it feel to you if you did not come in the party without a gift

| 3. MrsFrick (15) | 1 year ago | We usually just get one nicer gift and put that it's from the girls (I have 2 yr old twin girls). But I could see, as they get older, possibly letting them pick out something a bit cheaper and do a gift from each of them. I think that it works great either way personally.:)
It also depends on how close the kids and the family are to whomevers birthday party it is.

katsmeow1213 (4866) | 1 year ago | I've heard that before too. There've been times we've skipped parties because we could not afford a gift at all, and they ended up telling me not to worry, just send the kids.

6. zukepr (11799) | 1 year ago | I would give my twins an option they are 9 now and they generally make good choices I would tell them that they could each pick a gift for $X or they could combine their money and get one gift for $2X and put both their names on it unless it was twin birthdays then I would let one pick a gift for one twin and the other could pick a gift for the other twin both spending the same ammount

katsmeow1213 (4866) | 1 year ago | Mine are about to turn 6... so I still make the choice for them. Besides, whenever I leave a choice up to them, they always choose the opposite of each other. One will say get 1 gift, the other will say get 2.
