Our Ungrateful Neighbor!! ARG!!

Consider yourself very luck whiteheather because we've had nightmare after nightmare when it comes to neighbors. We did have decent neighbors one time and only one time out of all our moves thanks to the Army life and I don't know why. We must have "STUPID" written all over our foreheads for they all have tried to do something or another one time or another only to find out that we can be @sses too when we need to be.

Jimmy was afraid he might sue him over the tree. As for me, I'm like SUE ME DAMN YOU!! But I didn't because of hubby's fear, no need to add to it but damn it sure as hell made me mad!! The darned tree was already down from being rotted out and a part of it was still standing so he cut it down because of the jagged edges at the top. Some people are just complete morons and he's one of them!

No we didn't ask because there was another tree that had fallen over from too much rain and he let it sit there. He has a trail through his woods, not a long one but a decent trail and it has a bunch of openings in which one is next to my driveway. The fallen tree was blocking the trail and I'm forever having to find my cats in the woods. I had asked hubby to cut an area of the tree so I could get through without having to climb over it and when he went to do that, the neighbor showed up and told him not to because he's going to do it and burn it. Well, that lasted for about a year and finally he cut it up and it's still laying out there but out of the way. So to ask him if we could remove this tree, he would've said no again and we knew that. The whole area is right beside our property and was such an eye sore so we just cleaned up about 2 yards inside his property just to make it look like someone cared for it was obvious that he didn't but then again, he couldn't see it because his house isn't as far back off the road as ours is and he has mostly woods where most of ours has been cleared except for the back in which we're working on. We didn't clear his property but just cleaned it up of the dead debri but ours we're doing A LOT more to it but still want to keep it wooded but in a safer way so we can use it for our dogs to have a wooded area to fun and play in. We love trees but hate pine trees with a passion because of the needles ruin the grass and we cut a few down that were dead and/or on our property and we took down the small dead ones on his but the live ones stayed. I mean, we were trying to help the guy not hurt him and we get treated like we did something terrible!! The area looks so much better now and one can feel safe walking through it if they wanted to or needed to so what's the harm in that? I don't get it.

Well I suppose you are lucky to even go on his land without too much trouble. He could be a real jerk and put up a No Trespassing sign and then your animals would be subject to some challenges. I think he probably feels insulted or disrespected in someway or another. Let me ask you this.....If I was visiting your home and did not like a certain area, how it was kept or arranged, or what was in it.......and just started arranging things, and cleaning your closets, and changing your bed linens would you be insulted? If however I said "can I help you with that, or do you mind if I do this......better to give someone an option that to just assume that because you see nothing wrong with making something better that they will agree, especially if they were not part of the decision of doing something to alter what is their's. I somewhat agree with you however if I was your neighbor and you came over and started cutting up my dead tree and clearing brush from my land without consulting me about it I might be offended.

Well, I didn't go inside his house and did anything of the sort. It was all work outside and it looks much better now. Now if he had come over here and helped us clear our back yard, I'd have been grateful for his help because that's how I am. I like helping others but I don't like being sh!t on and that's what hubby and I get for the most part when we do help people. It's like one obstical course after another and there's no sense in it. Geeze, it's only land for heaven's sake and we did the work, not him and it's for the better and not worse so what's the harm? Besides, it's less of a fire hazzard although we didn't rake it but the debri is picked up as well as the trash that was embedded in the ground and some being blown around, it just looks so much better with all the dead taken out so the better trees can grow and we only went about 20 feet into his property, it's not like we did a huge area but just that much all along our land so it would look nice and not so crappy like it did AND we've been have possum problem and we had hoped it would work to get rid of them but it didn't. So much for that.

They both are. She's a wimp who caters to his every whim and he's a jerk. I didn't like them from the get go because of how we met. They have a trail right beside our property and when we first moved here, we didn't know about the trail, heck, we didn't know anything about our neighbors and here were just pulled into the long driveway and were in the back yard getting our pets inside the house and these two with their "jackass dog" show up unannounced right at the corner of our house!! It liked to have scared the sh!t out of me and our german shepherd wanted a piece of them big time and hubby had a terrible time getting her into the house and shutting the door!! These two dumb @sses wouldn't leave even seeing the ruckus they caused and kept on coming closer and talking to us like we've known them for years!! I mean, we JUST got there!! Just signed the papers and pulled into the driveway and they showed up!! Finally I had to tell them that we just got here and have a ton of things to do in order to get them to leave!! I had to be up front and frank which I hate to be like that but they made me!! I can NOT stand people like them!! They get under my skin and just irritate the hell out of me!! How stupid can people be?! ARG!!

I don't get it Chevee. I really don't. We were only trying to help clear out the eye sore. We weren't trying to alter his property but make it look nicer than it did and he got all bent out of shape over it. Oh and he had to bring back our house key too which told us that he didn't want anything else to do with us which is just fine by me. I hate people who are so ignorant and hot headed like he is and at the same time, he found out that we can be just like that too when we're faced with it and back down and got nicer about it. Damn idiots anyway!!

And that's not it either Oreo, I can't stand these people!! They so grate on my nerves because they act like they're better than everybody else. ARG!! They both are asinines. You betcha sweetheart! I can't stand people who push their way into my life either. I love people, but some I have to take small doses of. If someone kept coming into my space and my dog or I felt uncomfortable I would be frank too. Honey.. when an animal raises heck like that they are scared. They are saying "Stay Back! I don't know you! or You don't belong here!" or something to that matter. If a person didn't pay any attention to that.. they have no social graces at all. Yes.. keep that journal AND pictures! Pictures are the visual to go with the words.

I should've explained myself when I say "Jackass dog".... this is what happened, the woman told me that her dog "Chewie" a large poodle doesn't like dogs bigger than him and that's why he went balistic over my german shepherd "Sissy". She wouldn't make him shut up so we could hear her or take him back home!! He caused such a ruckus with our dog that we had a terrible time getting her inside and prayed that she wouldn't break the door down or the windows trying to get out. These people are such air heads it's unreal!! I tried to be friendly with them but I just can't be, not with them being so hostile like that.
I'm trying to convince hubby to take the damned wood and cut it up, load it up as well as our pile that we have from a fallen tree which is Oak and take it to his house and dump it in their yard as a way to say "screw you! here's your "tree" a hole!!"

SHE comes on your yard and cuts down your vines? Now that's a wee bit waaaay to far!! I could never ever do that!! This tree was already on the ground and part of it was standing, I'm thinking a lightening hit it but regardless, it was an eye sore and it was taken care of. Like this woman, our neighbor are jerks! They think they're better than everyone else but I've got news for them!

It's people like you who are so narrow minded that makes everybody else's lives miserable. Learn to lighten up and take things gracefully and be grateful for the things people do for you and I promise, you'll have a much happier and healther life. So you say I'm suppose to just let lay and wait for a fire? In my case it would be fire number 6? Oh hell no, isn't going to happen. I will do everything in my power to keep that from happening. Besides, it's my husband and I who have to look at it, not our neighbor because he can't see it unless he walked the trail. My husband and I see it every day and it's an eye sore, meaning ugly to look at and it's dangerous.

I can totally and completely understand that. We've had one decent neighbor in the few places that we've lived. Where I came from, we helped one another all the time but that seems to be a thing of the past. It's something I'll have to get used to, not like but get used to.

Hi Pinay.... I don't get it. I really don't. It's not like he can see the area that we cleaned up because it's further back into the woods behind his house and we only cleaned up about 20 feet inside his property, that's it!! It looks so much nicer now and even the wild animals can get around a bit easier in that little itty bitty space. Geeze, some neighbors just like being inconsiderate @sses but that's ok, I can be one too!!
