The white tiger is not an albino. It has a recessive gene which subdues the orange coloration almost entirely but leaves them with dark stripes and ice blue eyes.

They aren't a separate sub-species and can breed with tigers of a normal color but, since the gene responsible is recessive, only about 1/4 of the offspring are likely to be white.

Because of their unusual color, white tigers have been bred in captivity for many years and there are now several hundred in captivity. The modern population includes both pure Bengals and hybrid Bengal–Siberians, but it is unclear whether the recessive gene for white came only from Bengals, or from any of the Siberian ancestors as well.

I apologise! My assumption that 1/4 of the offspring would be white only applies if two heterozygous tigers (each with one gene for white and one for normal coloration) breed. Both of those parents would be orange. If a pure bred white and a pure bred orange tiger breed, all of the offspring would be orange but heterozygous.

The situation is somewhat similar to the children of humans with red hair.
