Would you drive around in a 12 year old car?

I would totally drive it! It sound like an ok deal! Just be prepared for the possibility of repairs being needed...and be sure of course to have it services regularly.

My husband had a Camaro from like the 70's given to him by a friend of the family, the guiys MNOTHER had owned the car..the miles were up there...but that baby wa sweet! and other than being a gas hog...(and getting us tickets for speeding!)..the car mechanically never gave us any problems!

Funny you should ask. i drive a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I love it! We like to camp and head out to the grasslands. It is perfect for us and all three dogs fit in it!

I don't mind if I drive a 12-yr old car. By the way, I haven't tried driving any car at all. So it would be still ok for me to drive even a 20-yr old car.

I think you should buy it.Especially since you'll get it at a good price.Of course this should be temporary as it's a pretty small car but if you're young enough it could suit you fine.Spare parts are also easily to find and you should have no problem concerning that.

Don't worry about the age as long as it's working.I used to have a 16 year old car and it did it's job.

Well over the years my family has bought and owned many old cars and to me it dosent really matter how old a car is as long as the car is in good condition and runs well, and if the price is right theres really nothing wrong with buying an older car but of course when you buy an older car theres a bit of a risk that you may have to get some things fixed down the line but as long as you can safely drive it and you get some good use out of the car its ok to buy an older car.

i even drive my 52 yrs old husband so how much more the 12 yrs old......car?..hahaha.seriously dear i dont know since i can drive only 2 wheels

I have done it several times. I would buy an old car if it has low milage and was taken good care of without a second thought. So what if it is old as long as it runs good and gets you around with out problems.

As long as it has four good tires and it starts, I'll drive it and be happy.

Actually, my favorite cars are 1994 Buick Park Avenues; I've had two and I'd love to have another.

from the looks of it, it's still in good shape. and you got a good deal for the price. i wouldn't mind driving a 12-yr old car. as long as it works.=) better if you have it checked with a mechanic before u drive long distance.

I once bout a phoenix Pontiac that was 6 years old and had over 100,00. I drove it for a good ten years and put over 100,000 on it going across country twice. It would state to give me trouble and I would look into what it would cost to fix it and the problem stopped. If you know the people that had the car and you know they took good care of it I'ed say go for it.
