Directionless in life?

We're already in a worldwide recession (even though my country's government is insisting my country is NOT in a recession). People are losing their jobs and companies are doing pretty badly.

I've been sitting in the office with no project for more than 2 months.

Things are getting desperate and lately, I've been quite demotivated and easily get tired.

I used to be a very motivated person (my bosses acknowledged that) and I have great ambitions. But nowadays, I just seem to lose my direction and clueless of what to do. And I'm also getting bored with the job.

All the plans that I used to have, don't seem to work out now. One of my dreams, used to be comic writer/artist and successful stock investor. Now, with things getting desperate, I have to think how to give up on those dreams and move on to something more realistic - create some web applications to earn money and maybe start my own IT business.

I'm still happy with my life since I can get all those happiness from little things in life. But I do get troubled when I think of the future.

Sorry for this ranting. But do you have similar experience before? Have you ever been feeling lost and directionless in life?
