Remember, there are risks in falling for a good friend. It doesn't always go the happily-ever-after path, most would end in a broken friendship and lots of hurt. So, before bursting all your bubble on the person, remember the risks, and if you could handle them then go for it, otherwise, don't say you haven't been warned.

It always takes two to tango when it comes to relationships. If you really feel that it's true, then try to see how he/she feels about it. Since you're good friends, there will always be circumstances when you two could talk about 'personal' matters, try to assess or even ask him/her jokingly about the topic.

But if I were you, I'd just drop it early on. Unless he pursues me. Otherwise, it's better to be friends.
