Oh, the dreadful pain.  

Only 1 day? I have at least 2 or 3 days. Which still doesn't seem like much when you look at it logically. But it is not easy to look at it logically when it is happening. Even though you know that you are perfectly fine the other days of the month, to the point that you don't even remember it anymore, it is hard to think reasonably and rationally when you are going through it. I always dread it, it's always as bad as I remember, but then the next thing I know, it's all over again for another month. So, it does help to try to put it all into perspective. :)

You poor thing. I got these years ago to. Going on the mini pill can help this, so talk to your Doctor about it. Try a warm hot water bottle on your stomach when you lie down. I find this helpful. There is not a lot of drugs that help this pain though, so I would go see the Doctor about this. Hope those cramps have gone now. I sympathise with you sheepie.

Sometime birth control tablets don't help at all but it will make you put on weight, I rememeber those pains too.

I really feel for you and hope that you are out of pain very soon.
I have been very lucky with my periods in that I haven't had two many bad ones in my life and rarely have to take any painkillers.

Try lying down with a hot water bottle on your tummy, Sheepie. It really works, and is better than taking horrible tablets (which don't work anyway). It used to work for me when I was a teenager and suffered from those horrible cramps.

I find its worse having them at night, atleast during the day your not sitting up in bed waiting for the morning to come. But one day isnt bad I usually have it for a few days. I used to get it so bad I would pass out, and have to stay home for a few days till it was all over with. I went on birth control though and its alot better now thank god. But some advice to you...hot water bottles are your best friend

I used to have cramps several days out of a month until I had my hysterectomy. I took pain pills also and nothing helped them.

When I was on bc it did help a lot. I wasnt in that much pain with cramps. Nothing works for me either.

You may want to bring this up to your mother. If you express your concerns to her and what you think may fix it she may help you. She may at least take you to the doctor and get you some better relief than midol.
If it was my daughter having this problem I would do it for her.
