They are ICANNN accredited. I have bought and hosted my domain name with them.

It looks like you are new to this site.Read all discussions here.I suggest to check sify.com.But geographic location is most important.The website from which you are buying domain name should have customer service centre in that country.Otherwise you would spend more than the cost you pay to buy the domain.Never disclose your credit card details while buying domains.Better to use Paypal.Because refund is ensured from paypal in case of any cheating.

domain names nowadays are priced on average $9.++ or even $8.++ per year.

i use gkg.net in registering my domain and icann fee is just few cents only per year.

cheap domains like for about $2.++ are only package if you subscribe to a webhosting service also - 2-in-1 service. so basically you can't get very cheap domain without added paid service attached to it.
