1. TopDiscountsOnline (278) | 1 year ago | I've never actually made homemade ice cream so I guess I wouldn't know which is better:) I prefer Breyers vanilla bean ice cream. I like plain vanilla ice cream with fresh fruits (kiwi, strawberries, raspberries, etc.). Second to vanilla, I also like coffee flavored ice cream.

5. LovesTravel (215) | 1 year ago | You know, it depends. There are many times when I want a good old-fashioned custard--which is my favorite memory from childhood regarding hand-cranked ice cream. As an adult, when I'm in that particular mood, I head for Diary Queen and ask them to pack me a quart of frozen custard to take home. (That's the closest I know without making it myself.)
Other times, I want creamy grocery store ice cream. On those occasions, I'll take Breyers or Turkey Hill or Hershey's--any of the "good" brands that might be on special. I'm not really all that fond of the Ben & Jerry's, Godiva, and other super high-priced ice creams that are all about strange flavors with lots of "stuff" dumped in.
I love ice cream. I'm generally partial to either chocolate of vanilla--plain and simple. Ice cream just makes me feel young again. . . . Isn't that silly?

7. thanujad (360) | 1 year ago | Yes I agree with you. I love to make Ice creams at home and when ever I'm having a party at home I always make it. My friends and relations loves to eat home made Ice cream as it's taste so much better than buying from a store. I'll give you the recipe to make strawberry Ice-cream as it's my favourite.
Ingredients.
1 cup strawberry jelly 1 cup skimmed fresh milk (boiled and cooled) 3 tbsp. sugar
Remove the strawberry jelly from the refrigerator and keep at room temperature for about 15 minutes before preparing the Ice-cream.
Combine the jelly, skimmed milk and sugar. Run in the whipper section of a mixer for 1 minute or until the ingredients are nicely mixed. Pour the contents into suitable aluminium container with a tight lid and place in the freezer till partially set.
For a softer texture, remove from the freezer and beat with an egg beater or run again in the whipper section of the mixer for 1/2 minute. Cover and freeze the Ice-cream till firm.

8. lulumartin (694) | 1 year ago | Hi gapeach. I have never tried to make homemade ice cream, but i would like to learn and give it a try. I believe it's much more healthier for us to take homemade ice cream. Whenever i want to buy the ice cream from the mall, my husband always complains that there are too many colouring inside the ice cream.:-( Then finally i don't have any ice cream. So, i really want to learn about it. Is it easy to make? Do we need a special machine for making ice cream?

| lana720 (55) | 1 year ago | I like both myself. It is fun to make it your self and you can make what you like and then have other people come over and they can make some. Then every one can share .That way you have more to taste and get others way of make it too. Plus, it is a nice way to get people out to have a nice time together.
