What are you looking for?  

I hope that you find what you are looking for. I dream about buying a piece of land backing onto a tropical beach with palm trees. I saw some lovely pieces of land for sale in Belize. I have seen land for sale in other countries in Central America like Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. The idea of building a thatched beach hut is appealing. One day in the future I might realize my dream but having a young disabled child I must keep my life in my home country at the moment. Also I would need to save up. My dream has always been to have my own piece of salty land. I want to live the life that Jimmy Buffett wrote about. A few years back my husband and I decided to go ahead and make the move! We landed in Mexico. First we lived in Playa Del Carmen, that got too busy so we moved over to the island of Cozumel. There I got island fever, after a few months all I wanted to do was get off of that island! There was really no place to buy furniture or get good books to read. So.....we headed off to another island, this time San Pedro in Belize. It was alot of fun, had many of the conveniences that we were used to and they spoke English! But the island was very expensive and the crime was horrible. So now we are at our last port, we live in the state of the Yucatan in Chelem. It is a wonderful little fishing village right on the Gulf of Mexico, the local people are the most incredible people that I have ever met in my life! The beaches are great, we eat fresh shrimp and fish, mangos and papayas and now are truly living the life! We have been here over a year and I wouldn't live anywhere else. It is truly inexpensive here, my house taxes were only $36 this year, for a 3 bedroom, 2 story home steps from the beach. Now I kick back with my ipod playing Jimmy, drink rum, walk on the beach and live the life that others only dream of! If you truly want your own place in paradise, send me a pm for more info.
