Anybody Want to see my Christmas Tree??

Hi smartie, cute name (G)! This tree has all the clear lights on it thank God
already on there, but yeah You'd be suprised at how gorgeous it is by mixing the
purple and blues and the "clear" ornaments and a bit of silver here and there;

Yeah I'll be right over to help you with your tree...ROTFL!!! So long as I can
bring my pain meds and stuff sure...I'll need a bed to crash on too off and on,
crazy back pain that I deal with but sure..

Thanks. I always thought clear ornaments were cool, but never really saw any on a tree before. Now, I know I want some. I'm sorry your back hurts. As much as I'm yearning to put up my tree, I know it's going to be a pain and I know my three dogs (a yorkie and two shih tzus) are going to try tol be in the mix, or they'll try to knock it down. hehe

AWww I bet they all are so cute, You'll have to put up some pics of them, Yeah
My Cat Screamer LOVES to knock down the ornaments and play with them, but I put
the ones that won't shatter down low where she can reach them; she's spoiled rotten!

the clear ornaments look the best if they are hung right over or near the clear
lights that makes them just sorta "pop" out very pretty!!

Thanks for the advice. I'd have to put all my ornaments on top with my dogs. lol I just uploaded their pcitures. I want to show everyone how cute they are.

HI Snow: Well you wouldn't want to eat these candy canes they are fake, they
are ornaments too! the breakable kind that will shatter if it falls on this hard

HI Tyc: Thank you!!! Yeah she's a beauty, all 7 1/2 feet of her;

It's a pre-lit Mountain spruce tree and it has 1000 lights on it..so they say!

HI Gemini_rose: Yeah it took me most of yesterday ( all day) to decorate it
If I didn't have such neck and back pain it might not take me that long but
when I decorate it I kinda "feel like an artist" and I like to take my time with it;

Yes purple is one of my favorite colors too and if you've never used it on a tree
do try it, and I've got beautiful "fake" but velvety Poinsettia's all over my
front room too; very very pretty!!

Hi Shellyann: Thank you!! I'd love to see some photo's of the Christmas tree
with Sea shells, I've always loved sea shells myself, never been to the ocean but
I do have several sea shells; I bet that would be beautiful to see;

I like Live trees too can't man-handle them by myself and get them into a tree
stand and then watered I'd be more afraid of a fire with them but I love them;

I wouldn't be able to "breathe either" if I had the real ones here, I'm a (puss)
anymore health wise;

HI Winterrose: Don't feel bad I didn't have anything for years and years and years
( most of my adult life) I never had a tree and for a lot of years after My brother
passed away and then My Mother, I just was NOT in the Christmas Spirit at all but
I do love the decorations and as a part of my "healing process" I started buying
myself some things, now when I go out to my Dad's place/ the farm its
SCROOGE CITY ALL THE WAY!!!

He is so "ugly" about the whole Holiday Season its a wonder we had any sort of
Christmas at all as kids, it was a rushed 3-day event sometimes the tree didn't
get put up until Christmas eve and then he made us take it down Christmas day
and well that whole scenario is another day's therapy session...LOL!

I tried to sell my Tree all summer long and the ornaments as I needed the money
but nobody bought it so I put it up again;

Could still use the money but oh well??

tell me about it, money, it is a luxury now isn't it.

Nice tree, GF! Heck of a job. I was going to comment on the purple, but I thought you might mention it in the discussion. You did. I see much of it is at the bottom, so I take it the purple ones are the unbreakables?? That Screamer had better behave herself!!! We have to get things ready to bring Mom's upstairs from the basement. But, we're gonna get through Thanksgiving first. It'll just be her and me. That's OK - more leftovers for us!! he he he

I forgot - Deb's going to be putting my tree up this year. When she was cleaning the apartment and getting rid of all the crap I'd accumulated over the years, she found all my lights and ornaments. I knew where the tree was, but hadn't put it up in years. So, it'll be nice to see.

Hey Girlfriend, Yeah Screamer has been having a field day with the ornaments
the very lower branches have the purple ornaments that won't shatter, there
are at least 4 varieties of purple and two different shades of blue, my battery
was near dead when I took them of course that damn digital camera "eats batteries"
like crazy and I didn't have any others here;

I liked the three stage Comments ya nut!!

I'm Glad you and your Mom will be putting up a tree this year I think that is
good, Mr. Scrooge himself aka My Father wants no part of Christmas Decorations
ever in fact he will not even put up the beautiful white wreath I got YEARS AGO
not a flower, not a tree, not anything but I guarantee you this, if my other
"Brother Dear" had bought him anything Christmas related it would be up year around
and there would be praising and ohhhing and awwwing over it all!!

Mom puts the tree up every year. It's just finding someone who can bring it up from the basement. She & Dad put it away decorated and covered it with a large industrial-sized plastic bag. Three Christmases ago, she was too sick and was in the hospital at Christmas. So, Dad's cousin, who was living with her at the time, put up a natural bent twig tree with lights - about 2 1/2' tall. Very cute. That way there was Christmas in the house when she got home.

The next year year, she asked Tom to bring it up. Talk about square pegs in a round hole - that boy has no mechanical sense whatsoever. It didn't matter that the tree was taller than the doorway - he STILL tried to walk straight out of the basement with that thing - not once, not twice - THREE TIMES!! It's obvious geometry wasn't his best subject in school. It was like watching the Three Stooges. I had to stop him before he broke the top off the damned thing. I love that boy dearly, but it amazes me at times that he made it to adulthood (and got a Master's Degree, to boot!)

Last year, Deb and her boyfriend brought it up. Haven't decided who will do it this year. It'll probably be Steve and Deb again. They're more mechanically inclined (although Steve could get lost walking across a room).

Yeah I think I'd let Deb & Steve bring it up out of the basement for sure!

I was referring to Brother Dearest you know, the loved one, the cherished one,
the almighty one, and no he won't be bringing any dish for dinner...PPFFFTTT!!!

As usual this time of year its up to our 81 year old grouchy butt Father and
poor Old aching body ( me ) to do all the glorified cooking and baking and what not!

and since the rest of the clan can't make it till SUNDAY we get to do it all over
again, well it will be leftovers but still its a BIG OLD MESS and lots of
dirty dishes and a big headache, I'm counting the days and minutes until this
holiday is OVER WITH ...

HI Opal, thank you for your nice compliments! I appreciate that I did work very
hard on it and (trust me) I suffered a lot too while doing it all, that's why
I have to start on it so early, as it takes me on average now 3-5 days to decorate
that includes dragging stuff out, well first I have to scrape off several months
of dirt & dust bunnies that pile up LOL!! Then put away my spring/summer florals
I have in my vases which I am short one now, thanks to Josie on Saturday, but
I keep all of my Christmas in two big totes that are on Wheels and thankfully
where I live they do have big closets here;

I did try to sell my Christmas tree all summer long but only because I was in
great need of money and since it didn't sell I once again struggled to get it up
all by myself its painful but today I go see my chiropractor again and I am counting
down the hours and minutes until he opens at 9:00 a.m. (G)! Fix me fix me, pop me
OMG!! LOL!!

UGH! I would not want to be redoracting my apartment at this time of year someone
would have to hold a gun to my head I am sure it will be nice and beautiful
when you are all finished but ( no thanks) that would be too stressful for me!

aahh! So your cats are "little darlins too" huh when it comes to your Christmas
tree decorations? LOL!

Screamer leaves mine alone "until I go to bed" and then she is in there just
going "nutso" LOL!

She's a bad bad kitty but I love her dearly!!

If you do get your tree up post some pics of it ok??

I know it's been 5 days but you said you wanted to have a look at our now-red Xmas tree (okay, so I'm a little show-off lol) And now that I've uploaded it to the computer I'd like to share it with you. I had to retake the pics as most of the previous ones were blurred.

and the tree took me two days one to wrestle it up by myself ( neck and back injuries) and then One full day to decorate it...

Sure I'll come help what's the pay per day?? LOL! So long as I can take my
pain killer's and muscle relaxer's, have a place to crash and rest often I'd
come help out...LOL!!
