When was the last time you were loved by mail?

I think that it is really neat that you received two postcard greetings in one day. It motivates me to perhaps send something to a friend myself. I do not remember the last time I received a no occasion greeting in the mail.

I love receiving mail that is not bills:) I think the last time I received something in the mail that was not a bill was about a month ago. It was a photo card of a friend's family with them standing in front of their new house. Their new address was listed on the card as well. I know I was not the only one that received their new address, but it was still fun to get something other than bills in the mail.

As a matter of fact, an aunt recently sent me a couple of postcards that were sort of like family antiques sent from one long deceased relative to another, and passed down from one aunt to another. The small amount of postage used to send those a long time ago was perhaps the most astonishing thing. But what was written on them as messages also brought these people back to life for a moment. Before you were born I used to get and give postcards with some frequency, but now with digital cameras and e-mail available to almost everyone, it is a different matter.

And what makes it even more special, is it proves that even though they were (likely) in vacation mode, they cared enough to have (or remember) your address with them.
I haven't had a post card for ages, but i recall the feeling...so very cool. Like I say, happy for ya:)

Yes, it has happened before. Once before with Aussie pen pals, she sent my post cards when she was going on her world vacation. And my other was from my Seychelles pen pal. She is always sending wonderful surprises to me. They DID make me feel all special & they were very unexpected.

Now this has got me thinking and I must admit that I don’t really remember it when was the last time I recd something via the mail. Except for the odd courier or parcel, I have stopped receiving and sending anything like letters or cards or postcards via the post office! Surprising really but we all have become so dependent on the net…its fast, its easy and its free on the pocket too! And with zillions of e-cards available free, I don’t know why should anyone take the trouble of sending a hard copy.
BTW yes I remember now, the last time was some 13/14 yrs back and it was my hubby then bf) with a New Year Card

getting two letters from two different countriess....

I received a few cards for my birthday but thats the last time I got anything. I don't ever remember getting some thing "just because".

When ever I go on vacation I send my brother a post card and if for some reason my kids aren't with me they get postcards too.

Oh about a week ago, when I opened it up to find my cheque had arrived from AlertPay, I live in New Zealand and it took 18 days to reach me...

I definitely felt some warm fuzzies as well
