What do you feel about people talking loudly in their mobile phones in public?

Some people, I swear, do it just for the shock value. They've got so little going on in their lives that telling the world (via their mates on a mobile) about their love lives is the biggest thrill they get all day.

I was subjected to someone like this the other day in the library of all places. Why this girl needed to share the details of who was sleeping with whom within her circle of friends with all the other patrons I've no idea, but it gave me and an elderly lady nearby an amusing ten minutes.

It really irritates me when someone talks loudly or talks about personal things in public on their cell phone. If I can't get to a quiet place, I'll text instead. Last week my daughter and I were shopping at a mall. Two women went into the restroom at the same time as we did. One had a blue tooth, and she carried on her conversation, talked about her upcoming chiropractor appointment, picking up this or that kid, all while doing her business. The other woman's phone rang while she was in mid-stream, and she answered, saying, "Oh, I was just going to the bathroom." I could hear her trying to pull up her pants and balancing her cell phone. That woman felt the need to explain to my daughter and me why she was answering a call while she was peeing. I smiled politely and moved on. She had the choice to not answer the phone until she was finished doing her business. I don't get it. I had a boss who literally slept with her cell phone. She expected me, too, so she could get me at any hour. Once while we were en route to showing a property, she answered a call from a male friend. She and he were discussing in lurid detail their sexual exploits of the previous weekend. I wanted to jump out of the car.

It is now common in our every day life. The culture of our society has been developed in such manner. So we should not mind it. We are facing dust pollution and shout pollution. These are gift of the time which is passing away. We should become in habitual. Otherwise it is natural to become angry or upset. But you see that upset or angry people could not be considered as normal people. Listen every thing, see every thing but live your life normally. This is whole fun and you should enjoy the life.

well people talking real loudly on the cell phone can be amusing at times and also irritating most of the times like it has been to me..... i used to work in a call center here in india and so we used to work in night shifts all the time.... we used to get a cab pick and drop all the way to our houses as the shifts used be late night shifts.... and when i used to sit myself in the car there always used to be a chatterring woman next to me who would be inevidently talking to her boyfriend and so would be disturbing all the others who would actually be wanting a little peace of mind before they actualy hit the noisy floor to start their work.... and sometimes i used to tell the spealer to talk a bit low but all in vain...for a few minutes they used to talk ina lower tone which would anyways increase soon after....gosh sometimes i wish i could wring them by their necks and kick them out of the cab!!

Sometime we are guilty of this and don't even realize. The person's voice on the other end is very soft, so we automaticallt think that they cannot hear us well either, so we talk louder. A lot of people do it....I don't need to hear other people's conversation.

It's rude and annoying. You can't help but listen to what they are saying. You can only hope it's half-way interesting! LOL

I think it is very rude for people to do this. I was at a meting once and this happened and I got so aggravated that I pulled out my cell phone and answered it (noone was on it) and started saying hello repeatedly. Then I said "I'm sorry I'll have to call you back some idiot is screaming on his phone and I can't hear you". I got a dirty look but he did hang up the phone.

I don't like this and normally, never do myself. People shold think about others also, while being in a public place.

I would have to say it depends on my mood..lol..sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it doesn't. I guess it would really bother me if I overheard someone speak loudly on their cellphone while i'm trying to enjoy my meal. I'm not interested in hearing you talk about your plans for the wkend or where you will going to next. People can be more courteous when using there cell phones in public places. You can either go outside if you can't hear the other person or lower your voice. Texting is great...some people need to use it.

Yes,it always disturb me.But i make dont know to them or just let them talk loudly.If it is too much,i will talk or discuss with them.I think they are have a hear problem or just want to attract people to watch who they are.
