Digital Cameras.  | |  Just about everyone these days has a digital camera. They are less expensive and more user friendly than ever before. I fail to understand why everyone doesn't have or use a digi. My question here is do you have a digital camera? What kind? Do you like it? Would you recommend this camera brand or type to a friend or buy another one down the road?
Yes I have several digital cameras. The ones that I use for taking pictures most often are the Canon digital elph S400 4 megapixel camera (which I have had for over 6 years and never a day's trouble from it really) and a Cannon elph poweshot 7.1 megapixel (which I just bought this year). I like these Canon cameras very much. Yes I would recommend buying one to a friend as I feel that they are almost idiot proof and as long as you can aim at what you're trying to shoot normally will make even my 13 year old nephew look like a seasoned professional photographer. And yes I did buy the same model and type of camera again and in a few years I will probably do so again.

I love going out in the woods and taking nature pictures. I just bought a lens the other day, it is the Canon 100-300mm. I like it alot. It will help me get closer in on wildlife without scaring them away.
I would suggest Canon to anyone that is starting off in photography. The Canon brand is well known for making reliable cameras.

Many people don't have digital cameras because they can't afford one. It's true that digital cameras are more affordable than ever, but still a new one can cost a couple hundred dollars. Other people have a camera on their cell phone so they don't feel they need a digital camera. My boyfriend used to have a digital camera years ago, but it died on him and he's never bought a new one. My brother also had a digital camera years ago, but he left it in a hotel room while on vacation. I also know lots of serious photographers that refuse to shoot with anything other than film because they claim the quality of digital will never match the quality of film. There are tons of people I know that don't have a digital camera for whatever reason. But I agree, they are very handy to have!

I have been wanting a DSLR for a long tome. I like using a digital slr; because you can point and shoot, and at the same time use it like a regular slr without having film to pay for. I have done photography since Viet Nam in 1966. I would recomend this camera to anyone, and am waiting until I can get the D90.
