I have been trying to awake early for nearly twenty years now. By early, I mean somewhere around half past five in the morning.
You get a lot of things done in the early morning. Moreover, there is something beautiful about the early morning. Nature looks fresh and beautiful. I would love to see the sun rising. I would enjoy listening to the tunes of the birds. Taking an early morning walk is great fun. There aren't many people around, and you can breathe in the sparkling morning air. A lovely time to waste in bed!!
In spite of knowing all this, I find my early morning sleep to be sweeter. How can I wake up early?

| merstar1 (56) | 1 year ago | Exactly. I learned the hard way that as long as I use the alarm clock beside my bed that I'm just going to keep hitting the snooze button. For the past several years, I've been using the alarm clock in my livingroom. When I get up to go turn it off, I've walked entirely into another room, then going to the bathroom, of course. Lastly, if I do enough odds and ends right then, then I won't crawl back into the sack.

3. mojcica (838) | 1 year ago | I have the same problem, I can stay awake at nights but I cant wake up in the morning. Even if I want to and set my alarm early and even if I'd have to get up to turn it off it wouldnt help, I would just lie down and fell back asleep. If there was a certain reason i would have to wake up, then yes, but thats not happening often, so... I guess Im just not a morning person:)

5. lulumartin (705) | 1 year ago | I always want to get up early, but i normally fail to do it;-) I think the only way is to sleep early, whenever i sleep early, then i can wake up early and by myself without alarm.
If i sleep late, then definitely very difficult for me to wake up in the morning.. haha... so i usually make at least 2-3 alarm on my handphone with different time frames, so that i can sleep for a while before waking up. Somehow, it's quite miserable for me:-( I hate waking up early.

My advice is start slowly: start to go to bed one hour sooner and wake up one hour before your waking time. Hour a hour or half-hour, half-hour. Just find your rythim and don't change your sleep shedule a lot, if you change it too much you'll feel very tired!

But the thing is Sun always plays truant in its duties.. In Some months it rises as early as 5.15 or 5.30 Am and in some months it comes out when the clock is about to strike six, in the morn.
But Venkat is unshakable of his Poise... never get out of bed.. before 7.15 AM.

10. polachicago (7885) | 1 year ago | You can program yourself to be up early before you fall asleep at night. Second, once you are in your bed and fall asleep no later than at 10-11 PM, you can be up and running at 7 AM without the problem. I am up always at least 10 minutes before an alarm.... I like to have things done when I am fresh in the morning.
