Do you still keep your wedding gown?  

My wedding dress was borrowed from a friend. That was 11 years ago and I still have it. She doesn't want it back, so I kept it. I hope my daughters will wear it one day.

I still have my wedding dress. I was married 4 years ago. My dress is very simple and I hope our daughter would want to wear it. A friend of mine is getting married in 2009 and she may borrow the dress. I am bringing it with me on my next trip to FL so she can try it on. She loves the dress but we aren't sure if it will be long enough for her. I'm short and had it altered so it may be too short for her.

I did not keep my wedding gown, youless. I seriously doubt that I could still fit into it today even if I did keep it.

I actually have two wedding gowns. I still have my gown from my first wedding as i just stored it and forgot about it and i have a second one that has not been wore. It was bought for me and my current hubby but we decided to go with a courthouse wedding. I may get to use it someday as we want to have a real ceremony some day.

You are very faithful in your relationship and a very romantic person. It's pity to see many divorced couples nowadays. I have been engaged with my ex last time, but just before we were planing for marriage, she left me. It was two years ago, but I still the loss sometimes. Most of the people over here, will just rent the wedding gown. Although during the time of marriage, we will never thought of having the second time, we will still rent it instead of buying it because it's very expensive. On top of other cost (the photography, the function, the honey moon trip, the house renovation & etc), it's really an extra burden to buy the gown. Therefore, I envy that you are able to keep your wedding gown. It must be very lovely and meaningful to you.

No, I never kept mine, I hired mine, I would onlu use it once so I thought it a waste of money to buy , and then try and find somewhere to store it afterwards...

I already have plans to re-use mine every year as a halloween costume.

I love it, and don't want to only get to wear it once.

wow that's really nice souvenir, keeping the wedding gown. Unfortunately, I borrowed my wedding gownfrom a friend that's why I have nothing to keep. And maybe if I bought one, I might no be able to even wear it for picture taking because you know, our size, now is different when we were yet singles.. hahahaha when I first wear my gown I am still slim and now I can't help it but increase my size. Oh!! I don't know how to bring back my body figure before.

I still do have my wedding gown and I've been married almost seven years ago. Actually, my husband just wanted that I rent a wedding gown. But I told him, if I can't have my own wedding gown, then there won't be any wedding at all..Fortunately, I found a seamstress and we agreed on the design and the price of the gown. And fortunately, the price agreed on the budget we had.

I knew back then, that it was more practical to just rent a wedding gown, than buy one. Because it was a lot cheaper. But weddings are so special and I wanted everything to be that...very special.

I am sure every bride would want their own gown. Very rare now a day will one be willing to take over a gown from someone in the family.

You bought your own gown? It must have been pretty expensive to want to own one.
Here where I am, renting is more common. Partly due to the cost of owning one. The other being, there is no storage to keep the gown. So brides here prefer to spurge the money on renting a more elaborate gown than to buy one to keep.
