Have you ever experienced a moment of immense pride?  | |  I do not mean the pride you may have felt at graduating, getting married, having children, children's achievements etc. I mean YOU. Whe did you feel proud of an accomplishment that you can vividly remember. For me, it was having my first short story published in a sunday Newspaper. I kept looking at my name printed in the paper and the fact that the story was good enough to be published was of immense amazement for me. I still have the original copies of the newspapers that published my stories and when I occasionaly look at them, I can still feel pride in this accomplishment. How about you? What has given you perssoanlly this feeling of pride?

Yes, much of our ppride is for our family but this is why I stressed something personal that you did. so many women make so many sacrifices for husbands/partners and then do not get a chance to finish their education. My first husband did not want me doing anything outside of the home, but my present husband encouraged me through the process of getting my diploma and he is supportive of me wanting to get a college degree, which I am going to get started on after the first of the year. The m,en want you to think that they love you so much that they cannot bear for asnyone to look at you etc. What they want is to know where you are! If they really loved you they would encourage you to have an interest or further your education outside of the home. They would want to uplift you and empower you to be your own person.
